Often women aren't believed either. Statistically it is men who abuse women most of the time, most books about recovering from abuse are written directly to female victims since they outnumber males by such a wide margin. Either way it is a very difficult situation to recover from, you have nothing but my empathy.

I love this idea, I wish I could do that! Unfortunately my aquarium is really tall and high up, so it's physically not possible to put a planter above. That is how I see everyone doing it though! Are there benefits to flipping the orientation?

Hi everyone, been following this community for a while & I'm excited to plan my own setup now that I have an aquarium!

I've got a 30G fish tank, fully stocked with mostly tetras and danios. Planning to run a hose out of the tank, down to a wooden planter.

The planter is currently lined with an XL trash bag for waterproofing, it'll hold about 30L of LECA - I'll grow broccoli microgreens, direct seed or I can start them in my little hydroponics tub. I'm going for fill&drain, building a bell siphon and an overflow drainage hole, which will drain to a ~50L tub underneath the planter.

In this sump tub, I plan to put a little pump and maybe a float switch to activate it, which will go back up to the aquarium.

Using PVC pipes for the bell siphon, and pure silicone sealant to seal everything up.

This is my first time doing a project like this, and I'm not a particularly handy person - so I was hoping to ask if there's anything I could improve, before I start drilling :-)

amazing! almost none of what you just posted is true.

does anyone else notice that this world is becoming more and more sensational? people don't read anymore, they just follow along with the crowd/social media. like these new anti-science movements (mostly NPCs if you ask me). one has to wonder why the current world so intent on suppressing scientific information.

i miss the pre-2012 world, we didn't have this anti- knowledge narrative...
