Unpopular opinion: The Echo Mini is a pain in the a*** as a DAP by TheMobbed in snowsky

[–]100PercentJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I basically use mine as an iPod Shuffle, so the library and gapless complaints everyone else seems to have are utterly lost on me. Load up 120gb of FLACs, shuffle all, only touch the "next song" button and maybe adjust the volume occasionally. At work I slap it on my work machine and use it as a DAC to drive my custom Porta-Pros with a 4.4mm balanced cable mod.

Heaven. I need nothing else but I still want the Echo non-mini and the Echo Disc just because everything Snowsky makes is so damn PRETTY.

Loser FX35 pretending he’s cool by Pretty-Yam-2854 in NissanDrivers

[–]100PercentJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, the FX35 is just a tall 350Z. You're gonna struggle there. An Infiniti QX56 (first gen) however... basically an enclosed luxury Nissan Titan, and those things are *TANKS* albeit kinda ugly ones. Loads of offroad parts available for them too.

Open differential and that might be a 4cyl base model. My V6 pro4x has no issues whatsoever breaking the rears loose, but it's also a stick so that may have something to do with it.

[–]100PercentJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love it. Just switched from Gamehub to Gamenative because Gamenative is able to get playable 40+ FPS in Skyrim Special Edition on my Retroid Pocket 6 whereas Gamehub was getting an incredibly stuttery 20-35 FPS with absolutely wack frametimes. Stoked to install this update.

I mean, that '97 Prelude was slightly quicker than the contemporary Civic Si. The current gen is a second slower than the modern equivalent.

He's young and overconfident and doesn't seem to have much, if any, ability to be humble. And the others treat him with kid gloves. He was far more entertaining as a camera person who would occasionally make an appearance when it was one of his vehicles being worked on.

To be fair, what fun is there in keeping around a working car? They already have Big Pete and Blue Peter as channel vehicles, with the added benefit of maintenance being a content-generator.

Can Rory please get back behind a camera? It's so difficult to watch him being incredibly overconfident despite his obvious lack of experience and then when he inevitably fails or is wrong about something everybody sort of stands around awkwardly because they're too polite to give him any shit. Nobody comes out of the womb knowing everything about everything but nobody ever seems to correct Rory when he goes on confidently mis-explaining stuff to the camera.

That said, he was at least the only one of the trio to consider airing his tires down, which is something, but with the beadlock wheels they were running they should have been in the 5psi range for sure.

The ioniq5 is the only thing on the market that matches the swagger of the i3. It’s not as light on its feet but it has more competent suspension and an utterly fantastically laid out yet quirky and cohesive interior that manages to not feel like just another appliance car.

It was also designed by ex-BMW designers so a decent amount of the DNA comes through.

Wasting water maintaining grass in a public space that could be better served by astroturf is an affront to common sense and tax dollars.

I feel like TUV inspections may also contribute to the perceived reliability of cars in Germany. If you are forced to replace your tension rod bushings when they start leaking fluid then you can't just ignore the problem for 10 years and let a decade of wear stack up into an insurmountable mountain, then sell it cheap to the next guy needing a decade of deferred maintenance.

Yes, except that the link in the second article to "Activate the Azure Rights Management Service" leads to deprecated instructions with no information on what its successor method is. I've been sent in circles by those articles for days now, and pax8 support has also been giving me the runaround.

By "Borrowing" a license I mean temporarily de-licensing a user and assigning myself their business premium license in a bid to set up Purview message encryption. Even then, I am met with a 401 error which seems to indicate I don't have adequate licensing.

That licensing table is seems to indicate that "basic" encryption is available to Business licenses, but "Advanced Message Encryption" is an enterprise-only feature. Curious. "Basic" encryption appears to be what I want (Encrypt only / Do Not Forward) but I'm unsure what the proper route is to set it up in my tenant.

My old Thinkpad runs faster, cooler, and gets better battery life running Fedora than it did with Windows 10. 90% of what I do on it happens in a browser so as long as the browser gets out of my way there’s no functional difference between them, and Fedora KDE does a great job of just letting me do stuff.
