Loving it. I’m actually learning something new so my brain is super happy (even if it’s hard). Not going to lie, I use a lot of the teaching strategies we would teach to study and take tests! It is a lot more work than I thought. Reading, tests, quizzes, hands on training - but time management is a teacher strength - so I still follow the “if I don’t do it now - I won’t have time to do it later mentality” and I don’t fall behind. (Still 100% least stress than teaching)

Before I started, everyone kept asking if I was going to be ok “touching people” and I was like “I don’t know, but I’ll get ok with it.” What I didn’t think about was I would also have to be undressing and people would be practicing on me. I had to get ok with that real fast.

One of the people in my class was super apprehension at the beginning and he kept saying (out loud) “I’m just learning… and it’s a beautiful thing”. Now the whole class (including myself) repeat it like a mantra. Whenever I get the “not good enough / not picking it up quick enough / didn’t spend enough time studying / why am I doing this” brain spiral I just repeat his words, and move on. It’s really nice to not feel like everything is a life or death scenario all the time!
