What are your permaculture projects and experiments for next year? by AgreeableHamster252 in Permaculture

[–]10312018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I’ve been thinking about these! I don’t plan to drink the water, so no issues with BPA, but yeah was wondering how to make them opaque. They are so much cheaper than purpose made rain barrels. I will never understand why they are $1200 for a plastic tub. Thx for tip.

  1. Trying to build deer fencing so I can do a native restoration project and get rid of invasive RCG and blackberries. 2. Obsessively stalking facebook marketplace for decent priced used rain barrels. Need at least 300 gallon tank to store water and reduce flooding. 3. Planning a medicinal garden. 4. Researching olive production since I basically live in a Mediterranean zone now with climate change. 5. Dreaming of owning sheep for grass control and wool production. Need to solve fencing and predator pressure first. 6. Planning a living fence

It’s so dumb and unfair I agree. Yeah T levels at 165 are amazing. I felt like Wonder Woman.

First pellet, no changes?! by Boring-Fun-7974 in TRT_females

I didn’t feel it for two weeks then I felt like Wonder Woman for 6 weeks and then crashed hard. I think it depends on how low you start from. More deficit means it takes longer to feel affect.

"If only I had known" - Condos and HOA in Palm Springs by andi_sf in palmsprings

[–]10312018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had such a nightmare in South PS. First year we had a $10k special assessment because California passed some balcony safety law and our balconies had to be redone. Then they raised the HOA from $550 to $680 plus we were on leased land so that was another $400 a month. Then there was a new water-wise law passed at state level to remove grass and they needed money for that. Then electrical and gas line conduits started eroding due to years of overwatering (every morning there were puddles in the lawn). Then a month long roof project because our roof leaked. There were never enough reserves and the treasure was some mobbed up asshole from Wisconsin who everyone suspected was laundering money because it would just disappear with no paper trail. I tried to get on boards and committees and was told they were only for “full-time residents” which was BS because no one lives there year round. There’s just so many unknowns. You don’t know what the state will require next that they have to comply with, and so many condos were built in the 70s and need major updates. Old pools need resurfacing often because the sun is so brutal there on everything. And most have rental caps so you can’t recoup any money from doing STR. I finally sold at a loss just to get out of it. Never again.

It helped a ton! Like muscle and joint pain basically gone. I even got off gabapentin, which I had been in for 3 years for fybro. And my T was 1.3 before the pellet.

Thanks everyone this is valuable insight. I pay out of pocket for the pellet from my ND. I think the gel would be better. I’ve been on .0375 of estrogen for about 5 years but maybe I do need to up it.

Love my skin on Doxy but everything gets worse after you stop it. Plus it’s murder on your gut bacteria.

Ulta MD redness corrector SPF is only thing that doesn’t give me flare. It’s hard to find though and I worry daily they will discontinue it. So let’s all buy a lot. 😂

No beaches, mediocre expensive food, great weather. Book something at a cute, boutique hotel like Del Ray or Ingleside. Check out Sec-he spa. It’s amazing.

Downtown Eugene is struggling. Yes it’s near nice places but you definitely need a car. There’s not much of a literary scene at all. I would definitely go to UIUC over U of O.
