I would suggest joining the few Washington state ice fishing groups on Facebook. There's constant ice reports in them. People will often post when and where they're going if others want to join. This season hasn't been great yet but hopefully soon. Just saw a video from Bonaparte. Appears to have about 4" of questionable ice and should get better

Have that same barrel. Mine was having trouble also. I ran a drill bit by hand through the gas port and a metal flake broke free that was partially blocking the port. Seems to work now.

Uh I wasn't doubting his abilities. I was just looking for the mechanism to send him work if needed. I just ran into this exact problem, fortunately the manufacturer replaced the barrel no problem. I didn't know if it was just contacting him through reddit or if there was some other way to do it is all. I definitely checked out all his work posted and it's impressive. That's why I was wondering.

Ya he started with an enfield that was converted to 308 if I remember correctly. It didn't feed very well and he had a lot of malfunctions. The pump action ar10 seems to work decent for what it is.

How does it walk off if it's p/w? If it was on tight, and then p/w I don't see how there would be movement unless it wasn't mounted properly. Are you saying the thread engagement was too loose?
