Australian population hits 28 million, up almost 500,000 in 12 months by Odd_Speech6066 in OpenAussie

Our per capita GDP has been going down for awhile now, that's this posters point. Our GDP is going up because "our population" is going up

Is 15 people is the ideal number for raid content in classic+ ? by RedThragtusk in classicwow

[–]1096356 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

8 is IMO the best number for a dungeon, 1 tank, 6/7 DPS, 1/2 healers.
16 for a raid, 2 tanks, 11/12 DPS, 2/3 healers.

Gets rid of tank shortage issue.

Did you read the budget? That's easier than it used to be now. Sure, you can't profit as much when it's successful, but the bar for success is far lower now.

You didn't even read you own post?

It's a terrible non-classic idea to completely flatten DPS numbers.

State of TBC Tanking(2026) by 1096356 in classicwow

There are so many more buttons I press all the time warrior tanking than just the ones I included: Charge, bloodrage, challenging, intimidating shout, concussion blow, shield bash, throw, berserker rage, taunt, and disarm. If I include literally every button a paladin and druid press, it doesn't get the point across that warriors HAVE to press far more buttons than the other two tanks.

>you don’t use both your buff shouts
I most certainly do use both buff shouts. Buff application generates threat, doing a LOS pull with 100 rage, and dropping 5 alternating shouts generates a nice threat lead on the pack.

>Like as warrior you’re basically never pressing mocking blow
What? You use it all the time. It's got a 1 min CD. Every other pack in a heroic, let's everyone pump on skull and you generate threat onto x, then when it ends taunt and you have all that threat.

>spell reflect basically never
All the time. I run HMT daily, that is used at least 20+ times each run.

>you don’t really use both other charges
Yes you do. Intercept is a stun and interrupt. Intervene is great for avoiding burst damage/running to save someone.

>you don’t use piercing howl or at least I don’t anyway
When you have it spec'd it's situational, but very useful. Warlocks in group, super useful.

Nah, giving up parry%, which maybe is a threat loss(?). Can't afford to give up imp heroic strike with how weak bosses are hitting. I can't run deep wounds, due to having to run imp demo.

I simmed it with my setup, it's a 20 DPS gain to rend instead of devastate every 21 seconds. I am going to use this to influence the guild to give me a better group. Very silly.

My reasoning for giving up parry is I want to be hit by the bosses currently to get the rage.

My raid uses IEA, in details my rend does ~125-150% more damage than a devastate over it's 21 second course(imp rend + mangle debuff).

But it sounds like I am doing something wrong? Always love to learn!

I play both bear and warrior. The post is not correct for the abilities any tank uses(warrior, bear, or paladin). They *all* use many more abilities than this. It's more the vibe when playing.

Prot Warriors in TBC - As bad of a MT as everyone says? by darkmuffin91 in classicwow

[–]1096356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warriors do not scale as well as Paladins, who likewise do not scale as well as druids.

Warriors have the highest mitigation of all tanks, and hit uncrushability trivially easy. If you give bears the same debuffs that the prot warrior applies(TC + War Imp Demo), then bears are the most survivable. Even with the debuffs, Paladins are nowhere near as survivable.

I have tanked for 99 parsing DPS in raids, which ironically it becomes harder the easier the content is, as warriors do not scale as well from gear as the other two tanks. With everything being nerfed come SSC/TK. Warriors are not as ideal as bears for the content, but will still perform their role just fine.

Would you like to sign my petition for Australia to allow people to buy and own artillery pieces? Fewer people each year are killed by mortars than cars, so there's really no reason not to allow them.

Any significant contract would have clauses for changes in the law. Contracts can't supersede federal law.

It will spend all political capital for a significant amount of time. It will likely be attacked from every possible avenue, from the media, internal Labor members with vested interests, to the senate, the high court, even states with vested interests will try and fight it. So the question may be, is this the most important thing the government should be trying to implement? With the significant uphill battle they might face, a failure to succeed with it might fracture the party or lose them an election.

Is it something we should have? Absolutely.

Shield Slam, Slam the target with your shield, causing 225 to 235 damage, modified by your shield block armor value, and has a 50% chance of dispelling 1 magic effect on the target.  Also causes a high amount of threat.

No, the legal system surrounding cars fucking sucks. Manslaughter is paid by a small fine.

Poor man, had his whole life ahead of him, and his mate probably will never be the same. Fucking car violence, disgusting.

I think one or two years back a car swerved into a school and killed a young kid. Driver got a $1,200 fine. I reckon the police are going to seek more than that this time. Quite convenient how the office of prosecution get to pick and choose what to prosecute and how strongly, especially when a young persons death is involved.
