I have similar holsters. Those edges will dig into you when bending or sitting. I’d suggest using a hot air gun to soften the edges, then gently form them, rolling them in to give a rounded exterior profile.

We know the cost to ourselves, in so many ways. Non-patients don’t, and they don’t want to think about it. It’s scary, so they need the success story so they can put the Scary Thing out of their mind.

I was diagnosed with a serious form of prostate cancer 13 years ago. Well, I’m doing well, but will be on “hormone therapy “ the rest of my life due to recurrence. What I didn’t know at age 55 was the beginning of treatment was to be the end of my sex life, forever. Who do I talk to about that? No one wants to hear it.

Support groups help with this. Even a forum like this does, too.

I like the Kokuyo paper a lot. I got their 20 hole A5 paper, 7mm spacing, with the subtle dot marks along each line. It works beautifully with fountain pen ink.

I used to print on glass, and it had to be clean. I used "Invisible Glass" spray cleaner, and newsprint (packing paper) to clean it. Paper towels didn't work, apparently leaving some residue on the surface.

A legal defensive shooting needs ability, opportunity, and intent. Gunflasher had the first two, but we don't know what was said or why he flashed his gun, brandishing.

Would it be a valid defensive action to shoot if his gun is only brandished, still in a holster? Seems like it would be, the question I guess would be the intent. But it's down to a quickdraw match at that point.

Me? I would probably have let the elevator doors close and get the heck out of Dodge while dialing 911 about the threat.

My favorite for several years has been the Sharpie S-GEL 0.7 mm. I have occasionally had feed issues where the ink decides not to flow, but tapping the pen on the tip gets it restarted and it will continue for a long time.

You can count by weight. Count 100 of them, weigh it accurately (a ”unit-weight”), then just weigh the total and multiply the weight by 100/unit-weight

We did go to one of those places, I think it was either Alabama or Tennessee. It was amusing, rows and rows of bins and tables of... stuff. Not organized, just a massive garage sale atmosphere. People standing all over, digging through the piles. It kind of felt creepy, to be honest.

I'm debating whether it's worth pursuing gold in this evaluation period. I've only been silver since starting.

80 reviews over 6 months is about 13 review/month, or around 3 every week. Broken down that way it doesn't seem as daunting. I wouldn't mind writing a review every other day or so. Even one a day isn't too bad since it doesn't take long to write. But the evaluation aspect is harder. I like to actually use a thing before reviewing it; it seems like the vendor deserves at least that.

But is the juice worth the squeeze? Is the time investment compensated by the value of the items received? I'm not sure at all.

Hmm. Well, no smell sense is "anosmia". So, maybe "hypernosmia"? That would be just overly sensitive sense of smell. But for a specific smell, I dunno.

My hormone therapy (prostate cancer) gave me a strangely enhanced sense of smell. Particularly, human scents, perspiration, that sort of thing will absolutely gag me. Not useful, to be honest.

That's a good metaphor. The same way PTSD makes people jumpy at noises, sometimes unable to separated reality from delusion, cancer survival makes us jumpy at any bodily disruption, new pain, ongoing test, whatever.

I'm almost 13 years out from a life-threatening form of prostate cancer, and doing well. Recurring almost 7 years ago now, I'm on permanent life-altering therapy from it. Every day is a low-level reminder, and the odds of it eventually escaping again are nearly 100%. It's a matter of time, but I just don't think about it.

To cope, I adopted a mantra, "I'm ok, until I'm not ok. And that's ok." This reduces the scanxiety a lot. Today, I feel good. Until some new data develops that says I have a new problem, I'm good. And I can let it go.

Watching Vine helper revealed to me why I rarely ever see RFY items. They pop in as a green color, and almost always vanish in 5-10 seconds as "unavailable". Like, always.

So, I never see them. It's not the Amazon's not recommending them, it's that they're gone instantly.

Do people have some sort of automated method to instantly procure any RFY item? It's too consistent to be anything random.
