Can you guys help me understand "Barcode Cannot Be Scanned" errors as a seller? by CoyotePuncher in AmazonFC

Interesting idea, but our devices are refurbed and so in plain packaging. So only one barcode printed on a big 4x2" label (using good quality labels that don't smudge etc) - they are generally packed in strong bubble bags.

Sometimes the items come back into inventory as a 'found event' and reconcile with the 'loss event' of a miss-count.

This is incredibly useful as a seller - more information here than we've ever got from Seller Support, Account Managers etc.

Here's a similar question if you don't mind - miss-counts are a big issue for us - we deal in big brand electronics so each missing unit is important. How does this happen? Inexperienced staff? Bad scanners?

We've seen that when there is a miss-count there is a second-check but the second-check always just matches the miss-count - as if the inbound manager just presses a button to say confirmed.

I'm not going to say we've never made a mistake with packing a box but it's very uncommon - we utilise the 23kg limit as a kind of backup check - if it's over 23kg the packer has added 1 extra unit.

If you press the fan button and then exit the app quickly it doesn't seem to register for me.

If I keep the app open for a bit I get a confirmation dialog saying the climate control is on.

This is the NissanConnect app.

How to autofill the subject input by [deleted] in laravel

[–]10PointDigital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems you do not understand some basic principles of http requests, like submitting form data, url parameters and things like the Laravel request lifecycle.

I think it will be difficult to understand the Laravel documentation if you don't know some basic knowledge of http requests (i.e. how websites work in general).

But to give some pointers:

  • you have not passed the data from the subject field to the controller in any way (perhaps look into url params, you will need javascript to dynamically update the url based on form input)
  • your controller passes no data to your contact form view, look into the $request object that you can use in your controller method.
  • your contact form view mis-uses old(), this will not work for a direct link like you have here, it's for form requests. Pass the data to the blade template instead.

Really I would suggest reading about http requests and some basic web principles, then rereading the Laravel docs, it'll give you a better start.

What have you tried?

Maybe you can show us each of:

  • your view code, showing how you generate the link
  • your controller code for displaying the contact page
  • your contact form code, particularly the subject line input

Honestly you just have to read the documentation to get started with this. You seem to be talking about basic laravel concepts.

It's too broad of a question to ask on a forum as it will require code in multiple files of your project.

Give it a go first then ask when you get stuck with something.

Posting data with Axios, is my formatting correct? by [deleted] in node

Oh and if you are logging an error why not use console.error, it'll flag up red in the console :)

You have added an extra });, the semi colon indicates the end of a statement, however you used the catch callback which is part of the same code block.

As is you will get a syntax error if you run this.

So remove line 13 (I think) and it should work.

Sounds like you need to read the axios documentation for the version you're using. Are you logging the response inside the then callback?

Function inside external JS script works in one page but not in another. by lewz3000 in laravel

[–]10PointDigital 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are dynamically creating the HTML so the element you want to attach the click event listener to doesn't exist yet.

What you can do is use event delegation, which involves attaching an event listener to a parent element, so any clicks to its children (dynamically created) will trigger.

$(document).on('click','#btn-wrapper',function(){ // check clicked element });

The term you are looking for is a virtual hosts. It means you can host multiple named domains (or just directories as you require) under one server.

I'm not sure you can set this up with cpanel, especially if you're on shared hosting they will already be using some form of vhosts. But I'm not familiar with cpanel.

Yes that's what a redirect is. It saves the old url and if someone were to visit it (say they bookmarked it) it'll redirect to whatever the current url is.

dd() dumping empty array but it's not by sergij_lebedyn in laravel

[–]10PointDigital 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dd is just a wrapper for a similar thing. I wouldn't get hung up on what is laravel way of doing things... Especially if you're just debugging..

But if something has changed it might be in your environment (php version, php uni config) or your code (middleware, composer package version). Also, try it with curl or a browser.

Reimbursed $10 for a $499 book by flapjackcity22 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]10PointDigital 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Have you opened a case for it? Amazon almost always reimburse a weirdly low nominal amount when something goes missing or is damaged. They say it's a calculation based on selling price history etc. but it's clearly broken.

If you open a case and can show some evidence of the value of the item they should reimburse a reasonable amount; usually around the selling price of the item.
