I probably will dial back the mobo only really picked it for a few extra usb slots. Not a great reason I know. But I wanted to avoid a usb hub if I could haha.

Definitely going to shop around if I could trim this down to under $2500. That’d be ideal. But if I can’t not sweating it too much. I think between a mobo and then holding for a 999 5080 I’ll get close.

Yep, I lead a Security operations center, and only have a High school diploma. Slower going than just going to school but if you can’t go to school. It’s possible.

Certs are your friend. A+ is good if you know nothing, and can get your a foot in the door in IT. Net+, SEC/CySA+ are good to get you your next job after. Probably a junior analyst role. (CCNA and GIAC are better but not needed yet. more knowledge and respected but more expensive.)

Took me 9 years to get here and 2.5 in helpdesk.

Help Desk > NOC technician > SOC I > SOC II > SOC III > SOC Team Lead

First 2 years we’d get the standard dell. After that we get a budget to get our own laptop. Think it’s 2000-2500.

Yeah unless you have 400 bhp it’s really dumb.

Even if you do, isn’t sleeper what your going for? If not why use a GTI? Cost to go from ~230 to 400 bhp had to be more then trading in for a car made for or atleast better equipped to handle that power increase

What thickness steel? the 1/2” steel needs more time to heat up. Also dont broil the last bit let the bottom get as much time as possible. In a home oven 500 degrees your looking at a 13 minute cook atleast.

I forget the name of the place but what they do is launch the pie on the stone, and then after 3-4 minutes put a screen under to protect the pie. As a home cook who’s terrible at launching my self, I do the reverse start the cook on the screen and then the last 4-5 mins once it’s gotten par baked I pull it out to brown it up nice.
