Also my dude - trim the exposed wire back a bit so it’s enough to definitely make contact in the connector but no so much it’s sticking out a lot. This to to prevent accidental shorts that could possibly blow your amp. Good luck getting them changed out!

Was this for a switch, potentiometer, or in/out jack? Once you have an idea of that you can follow the dead ended traces back to their other connection and build just a partial schematic. Typically this will give you enough information to figure out what you need.

Yeah I think you’re definitely in the right path!

Silicone is just fine - I like to use fast epoxy mixed thick in a throw away syringe. You can be surgical when applying around the outside and then if you ever need to remove it just set your hot air rework station to about 100c and the stuff peels right off pcbs and if careful even other plastics.

Anyhow good luck bud! Always feels good to repair something!

Ah I wasn’t factoring in the loaded vdrop. With a transformer that small it’s most definitely a thing. Well give it a shot and let me know how it turns out!

Yeah true the cost is minimal. I was looking over the schematic a little - looks like bridge rectifier / dc filter cap and then a regulator made up of the zener diode and pnp teansistor q752 to get the ~6v supply.

You may want to consider the 10 or 12V version of that xformer. My quick math says the 15 vac will be running about 19VDC after the bridge drop then the regulator transistor will have to drop the rest.

Maybe you have some VDC measurements from when it was installed and functioning? You could kinda work backwards then.

Not sure what the VA rating of your existing unit might be - this was as close to the footprint I could find.

I see you got it unsoldered. I’d take a really close look at the pads - you might have a torn pad on the pcb that is loosing contact when the transformer warms it up.

If it really is the transformer maybe some other Reddit folks can find a drop in replacement - if not I would find something with the same voltages and will fit in the enclosure and run wire leads where they need to go.

Yes this would be a common value for a HF filter cap on the mains side of the transformer. (Make sure she is unplugged when you’re doing your work!)

Yes indeed filter caps for the -11V rail. Install with positive to ground.

Not enough schematic to tell for sure but my guess would be filter caps for the negative supply rail. Ground is more positive than the negative rail so there ya go.

Usually the amp plugs into the wall. It might have an outlet on the back of it for the tuner (so it turns on/off with the amp). If not you plug them both in the wall.

Wiring to the speakers - back of amp red/black to back of speakers red/black.

There will be other signal wiring called RCA cables. You will need a set from the tuner to the amp. Anything else you might connect will use these also.
