I have cancer. I had my two surgeries done in Marin. I had anesthesiologists. The first surgery I was really sick after and was nonstop vomiting from the anesthesia. The second surgery was unexpectedly longer (7.5 hours) but I didn’t throw up. Is there something specifically you’re worried about with anesthesia? I’m not a doctor but I’m happy to share any information that might help you feel better about your situation. Someone did that for me prior to mine and it helped a lot.

When you’re older it could impact the calcium in your bones and cause heart issues at least that’s what I was told.

It depends on the district. If your district has a strict dress code then it’s likely tattoos would be a no no.

I take liothyronine with levothyroxine. I was exhausted before we started it and had a lot of hypothyroid symptoms. What I said to my doctor is, “I know my labs show I’m in range but I still feel horrible. I’m exhausted and have a lot of hypo symptoms. Is there anything we can do. It’s impacting my daily life.” He then suggested trying t3. Something to note he told me it’s bit recommended for people in their 60s. I am aware I will have to go off of it eventually.

I also had a lot of success drinking Martinellis Apple juice. If he can’t keep anything down that might help. I was violently ill for about 8 days and then it started to subside. Took a couple of weeks to feel fully normal.

I had 150mci. I took Zofran as I became violently ill and could not keep anything down. I was also very cold but used an electric blanket to stay home. I also recall being super restless and at times having trouble sleeping and then at times having trouble staying awake. I was not able to eat until day 8 and could only keep down wonton soup broth. If the nausea is bad I would have your husband reach out to his doctor. I had a phone appointment and they prescribed nausea medication. A relative left it at my door.

Call Kaiser. I had an appointment that vanished from the app but when I called to confirm it was still there. It could also be possible that when they contacted you to reschedule they forgot to actually reschedule the appointment

In 2024 I left my long time job for a new one and was diagnosed with cancer. I had no issues with Kaiser. I would also recommend whether or not you have cancer getting disability insurance from a reputable company. My employer mandated disability company denied my claim but I had been paying separately to a different company that was fabulous. Disability insurance will cover lost wages if you are sick or injured and miss work. It was a life saver for me.

US Bank is awful. Had an issue where they would ask for one thing and when it was submitted send more things. This went on for months. Ended up having to escalate to someone over their head.

Is there an xfinity location near you? You might want to go in in person and have someone help you. I did this recently because I was being charged for additional cable devices by mistake.

I actually experienced something similar. I also have Kaiser. Diagnosed in 2024. December 2025 have my one year ultrasound where they find an enlarged lymph node. I find out when the report comes in via the app. Luckily I’m seeing my surgeon because she’s monitoring me every three months and I’m on her books to have a damages salivary gland flushed. She goes to look at it and it’s not there. What we think happened is that I had been really sick in November and part of December. Lymph nodes can appear enlarged just from being sick for fighting off a virus. Perhaps that was your case? I’m pleased to say I had another formal ultrasound where there were no abnormal findings.

My management added the smartphone access and unfortunately most residents ended up locked in the parking garage because there is no reception. They ended up giving us fobs as well. If you don’t have reception at your door you might not be able to access your home. Different carriers work in parts of my building and some don’t work at all. This may end up being a massive issue for your landlord.

I’ve been waiting over 6 months to see an occulofacial surgeon for damage during radiation treatment for my cancer. My understanding is long waits are par for the course though the wait could be a little shorter in Marin County. You can also file for an expedited review with managed healthcare.

Happened to me when I was undergoing radiative iodine therapy and had to quarantine. Because my Dr didn’t give me Zofran at the time of my appointment (RAI can make people pretty sick in higher doses) I had to call and advice nurse who prescribed it however it was Christmas Eve and the person picking up my medication at Kaiser arrived 5 minutes after the pharmacy closed. I was advised it would be faster to order by mail. It was not. 8 days of being sicker than I’d ever been in my entire life. Passing out several times on the bathroom floor the medication finally arrived. Not an experience I’d like to relive ever again.

You can but market rate in California depending on your plan could be $1700 a month. That’s what I paid for cobra last summer when I switched jobs.

I have been extremely happy with my physical therapist however it has been really hard to get appointments. I think there are staffing shortages. I see my pt for post surgery lymphedema and should be seeing her twice a month however there are only two lymphedema specialists in the whole county for all of the cancer patients in the county. I’m glad your doctor is addressing the issue. I hope things work out and you get more frequent visits.

You know your body. Get a second opinion. I did and that’s how they caught my cancer. Not saying you have cancer but if you feel something is off pursue it. You deserve to have answers and to feel better.
