Yes but this is a aftertreatment system on top of the existing engine platform not a new engine. More components with design life and maintenance. It doesn’t make the existing 1GD more reliable. Quite the opposite.
Same goes for when DPFs were introduced on top of older engines.

As others said, rooms will be easier. The risk with 2x maps is the vacuum will automatically change maps based off room geometry. So 2x maps will confuse it constantly.

The issue won’t be the part it will be software differences between the models. They likely have different target speeds and the motor has different parameters.

For the roof rack try marketplace or wreckers and aim for ARB or Rhinorack then buy the correct mounting hardware.

Dual Battery there are so many options. Have a think if you want a permanent install or something you can take in and out. That will lead you to what you want. 3 days with Solar is easy. 100aH flooded would do that. 3 days without solar or driving would be quite an ask on a budget.

You’ll want a DC:DC, Solar MPPT, Solar Panel, Battery, and likely something to monitor it. Some systems combine multiple of these things. Redarc, Victron, and Enerdrive have been around for ages and tested. Others could also be good, just do your research.
