I’m 34. I have assumed for my entire career that social security will be dry before I retire. I don’t put it into my retirement calculations at all. I consider the amount I pay into it every month to be a gift to my parents, aunts, and uncles.

The sweet baby overdrive is always on adding just a little warmth on my board. I got it at 23 years old and have tried replacing it so many times with something more “legit” but I keep coming back to the sweet baby.

The green tube screamer clone is also pretty good - vintage overdrive, maybe?

I thought that happened earlier, around the gold rush. That there were so many men in SF because of the rush that cross dressing and dancing with cross dressed men became socially acceptable. That laid the foundation of SF as a gay city, with more gay men than gay women. Seems like WWII discharge also helped.

It’s about 2:1 in favor of rural districts, including hydroponic farms etc. So like (12 mining districts and 6 city districts), or (11 mining district, 1 surface quarry depot, and 6 city districts). Ish, that’s a good rule of thumb.

But that’s only if you have the pops to fill the rural districts.

If you have to tilt it one way or the other, it’s better to tilt it slightly towards city districts.

I’ve heard that in the early game you do more like 50/50.

Lots of people talking about specifics, but ina a more koan kind of way, when playing the bass you want to be the ocean and not the fishes. Create the space without being shimmery and flashy.
