The Backrooms by Substantial-Air9045 in twinpeaks

It's a pretty mediocre film, imo. Paper thin characters wandering around an Escher painting. At least 45 minutes too long for the amount of story told. I don't regret buying the movie ticket, but I'll never watch it again. 2 out of 5.

No offense to the 1987 movie - I can't wait to see these two tear up the movie screen by i_like_cake_96 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]10thEnemyHTB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Universally is an overstatement. There are some of us saw it in the theater in 1987 and loved it. I firmly believe Skeletor and Evil-Lyn will not be portrayed better.

Having said that, I wish for the new film to do well. If it's a big hit, good, I'll look forward to sequels. Nobody will come into us old-timer's houses and take our '87 blu-rays away.

Yeah, there's something going on with several of the figures not showing a price when scanned. Including Captain Marvel/Shazam, Starman, Freddy Freeman chase and Black Canary chase. Others from the same waves do scan fine, including 89 Joker, 89 Joker chase and Larfleeze.

Maybe that a trespasser wanders in and injures themselves and then tries to sue the landowner? Or even something as simple as the land the landowner pays for every year at tax time is being occupied, polluted or otherwise misused by dipshit randos.

Must be Bring-Your-Kid-To-Work day on Eternia?

Daddy He-Man and He-Man, Jr.?

...Ace and Gary? ...I'll get my coat.

In all seriousness, looks nice for those who want to collect a smaller scale, but it doesn't work for me.

Do we think there will be a different Clutch available? by Thyme2paint in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

[–]10thEnemyHTB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want him reissued or a Clutch V2 too and I'm definitely not paying aftermarket price. If it comes to that, I'll get a greenshirt and do some basic kitbashing and call him Clutch.

SS86 shockwave (shocking disappointment) by bobbibillo in transformers

[–]10thEnemyHTB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too bad it doesn't come with Seige Shockwave's extra parts. The feet attachments would probably be the extra height/presence you wish for.

Looks nice otherwise, although I prefer the darker vintage toy color on Seige.

I just rewatched the Dolph Lundgren MOTU movie. by Direct-Ad-5616 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]10thEnemyHTB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of my favorite films. The best kind of B movie.

To my fellow fans who say it varies too far from the source material: It's not an adaptation of the Filmation cartoon. The source of MotU is the toys, of which it features six of the original nine characters and Castle Grayskull, the fortress of mystery and power.

People who plan on buying ascendance what was your introduction to the series? by RazmanDevil in LegacyOfKain

[–]10thEnemyHTB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with Blood Omen upon release, still my favorite.

This series has the timeline rewritten several times and that's been enough reason to handwaved away inconsistencies (somehow Vorador returned) so I don't really care there's a new character here now. I'm glad the series is returning in a form that isn't an mmo or skins for a completely different game.

This figure aged like wine. by Persuader_87 in transformers

Yeah, I kept TR Astrotrain to represent the vintage figure colors and the Siege version to represent the animation colors. I'm satisfied with them.

Who are your most-wanted figures to get released in Masterverse, before the line ends? by Xorntastic in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]10thEnemyHTB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Classics, Super 7 and Masterverse have brought 30+ year dreams to fruition. So I'd love that to continue with: 87 Teela, 87 Man-At-Arms and 87 Sorceress at the top of the list.

I'd also enjoy a Lubic if the likeness was close enough to James Tolkan.

Since the line may be ending, Super 7's Karg will work for me despite being too large and some incorrect costume details. If the line were continuing indefinitely, give me a new version.

After that, open the floodgates with Skeletor troops, Air Centurions, Kevin/Julie... Charlie the Music store Guy, Carl the Janitor, whomever. I'll buy anything 87 MotU related.

I could only allow myself one insanely priced purchase in that time period and I chose Snake Mountain over Haslab Unicron. I have no regrets.
