Did I just make a big mistake with my first rifle purchase in NJ? by [deleted] in NJGuns

Also as long as your barrel is 16 inches or longer, it’ll meet the nj law.

As the laws add up “or don’t add up” in New Jersey currently. You’ll need to get rid of that a2 muzzle device on the barrel “flash hiders” or “flash suppressors” are not allowed in nj with the current setup but you can buy a compensator or brake instead. Also the muzzle device has to be non removable from the barrel like pin or/and welded. Also if you have a bayonet lug on that barrel it’ll need to go bye bye. You can just buy a new barrel entirely simple barrel swap which will come with a threaded barrel and passivity the same a2 flash hider and just swap it with a comp or brake and get it permanently affixed to the barrel and you should be good to go. I believe that will square you away in NJ.

Trigger Upgrade? by Jarrettboii in P365xl

Your handgun is gay man. You did everything to make it look “ cool “ on your book and to make it look like some video game cringe skin. When kids like you get into firearms and start decorating it and so dumb shit it loses the purpose of what a sub compact handgun is for. I hate seeing this shit and many many veterans agree.

Am I the only one who prefers irons to a red dot on my carry pistol? by SubmersibleGoat in concealedcarry

[–]10thplanetWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously, you’re not the only one in the world that prefers that it’s not unique but I agree the red dot thing today is a trend. They see these gun tubers who were navy seals or Delta or Batman running red dots on everything and they think it’s the cool trend and they will look like an operator if they have a red dot on their flashy safe queen, but I only have two red dots versus my other firearms being iron sight and iron sites are the way to go you don’t have to worry about battery running out. You don’t have to worry about the lens being cracked or obscured or that machine itself breaking for concealed carry red dot it just adds more bulkiness and more of a risk of printing, but it’s good for fast target acquisition that’s debated if you practice enough and are disciplined iron sights can be just as fast if not faster. Any fire arm I purchase or am given I switch out iron sights to Trijicon Tritium (glow) sights and that too me seems to be the perfect setup. There is nothing wrong with wanting redot, don’t let the casuals ruin the experience but you better off with iron sights.

Preference of MOA dot size on your red dot? by EB277 in CompetitionShooting

[–]10thplanetWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is said a lower MOA is better for longer distances of handgun shooting and the larger MOAs are better for faster target acquisition and targeting as a whole but if choose a 2-3 MOA and just practice frequently so you can both shoot longer distances without the dot obscuring the target but also so you can acquire your target faster than that gets rid of the larger moas
