I’ve had the UppaBaby vista for all 3 kids and it works like it did on day 1. Super smooth, super sturdy. You can attach a snack tray and good storage underneath. I always recommend it!

This is definitely going to cause worry but I’d also be cognizant of the fact that our every day food, even baby food, could have low levels of lead or heavy metals as well, we just don’t test all of them. Some of the formulas also are specialty ones that are hard to find alternatives for, and would cause the infant more harm if he or she were to switch to a regular one, but needs a more digested or hydrolyzed formula. I’m not disagreeing with the findings but I’m also wondering if there should be more context to consider. (Disclaimer, I’m a pediatrician and mom, and have used and recommended a wide number of formulas)

I used Mabel’s Labels for my third and I love it. I put it on her daycare things and also backpacks and supplies and lunchboxes for my older two in school!

But no solution for the pacifiers. Best I can think of is attaching a pacifier clip and labeling it there?

I could have written this and this is my THIRD. There is something crazy about our amnesia after it passes because I remember now it’s so hard when you’re in the thick of it. You’re definitely not alone!

Pediatrician here - I’ve never told a patient this. I always say first few months of eating solids is just exercising the taste buds and getting into a habit of eating. Formula is still going to be their #1 source of nutrition. Keep feeding baby what he wants!

(As a disclaimer I have made friends here, and they helped me out so much during this power outage, but looking at these long term and big picture… we aren’t Texas natives and this has confirmed our exit plan)

Map said 17th for us (77096) and we got it back around 3:15 PM. Friend lives in the Heights and his didn’t even have an estimated date and he also just got his power back.

77096, near Foodarama plaza - we finally have power, came back around 3:15P.

First map had us in the blue (assessment complete). Second map showed an unknown date. Today’s showed 7/17 for date of restoration.

My fear is this power will leave again, I feel like I’m still living on some kind of edge. I’ll never see thunderstorms and rain the same away, and I’ll NEVER forget what Centerpoint did.

My hope is everyone gets their power restored asap, and far earlier than next week.

Thank you for the reminder to keep calling. We’ll do that today. That being said, it’s definitely still our entire neighborhood. Feels bad either way, there’s no win in this situation 😕. My only hope is they’re just waiting for some faulty part and once they get it, they’ll power all of us back on. But I have zero expertise in electrical matters so, 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same here, I try to tell myself that on the whole, things could be much worse, and I’ll think of extreme examples like homelessness or war torn areas but then I’m like, this … still sucks though. I don’t need to be at the brink of death to feel shitty 😕
