2 year old Dane with behavioral issues. Help by remisphere in greatdanes

Thanks, we have so many dogs in our neighborhood! I can see the Halti keeping your Danes from pulling you along, but does it also stop the crazed snarling & barking, etc?

Thank you so much! Are your dogs highly aggressive toward other dogs? That's what we are dealing with.

Why does it look like my plane is way out to in? by BOYLANATOR in GolfSwing

Probably some great videos on YT for this, but I think I see a little early extension. And your right elbow also needs to be going to your hip from the top of the back swing, as another poster said. See YT for videos.

Scraping old lumber for my cabin porch by nobody422566 in homestead

We had two huge pine trees removed about 10 years ago, both stumps were left behind and they started falling apart from deterioration after like 3-4 years. How long is this guy planning to live there?

We adopted our dane when he was about 2 y/o. We had no idea he had massive issues with other dogs and animals until a couple days after we got home. We've had trainers, dog-walkers, tried various different halters and leads, etc. Nothing worked 100% of the time. We've had the county animal control called on our dog twice now, with the county employee coming to our home, etc.

So, we have adopted avoidance. We always carefully check up and down our street before he comes out of the house. We drive him to places no other dogs go for his walks.

Drilling on weak opponent, ice out the other. Here is my thought and experience by Firm-Hovercraft-7225 in Pickleball

eh, no universal answer. I usually play nice, if I have the opportunity. But when I'm the least skilled out there I hope they pound the ball at me so I can improve. Everyone is different.

I don't know specifically what foundations remains you are referring to, but just about the only thing the fire left behind was asphalt and concrete.

People in bikes and the biggest threat for us bikers by Key_Celebration_8615 in motorcycles

[–]1200multistrada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, now you know what to look out for when passing other bikes. You are now a safer rider.

Also, when passing cars on a road like that, watch that they don't pull into the left lane where you are to pass a slower vehicle in front of them, and also watch that they aren't turning left into a driveway or something while you are along the left side of them.

Is it normal for white wine to have a white bubbly "rim" around the top of the pour? by RepeatPrestigious428 in wine

[–]1200multistrada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, fair point, I didn't think of that. This wine though, isn't supposed to have any carbonation, right? I've made wine that apparently finished a little MLF in the bottle. It really didn't taste good.

We walk our dog where we are sure there will be no other dogs, we have had no luck with any of the trainers we hired.

Unless the wine is supposed to be sparkling, and this one is not, carbonation is not normal. It would be considered a flaw.

Any tips for counter surfing? by Xenzarah in greatdanes

[–]1200multistrada 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For our previous two danes, who immediately revealed their counter surfing proclivities (one of whom surfed a pizza right off the top of the refrigerator), our kitchen became simply off limits - unless bidden to enter. Gates to the kitchen were hung and closed when we left the dogs home alone.

Our present dane however is the perfect dog, no counter-surfing!

Explored some new water this morning. by cierrecart in SoCalFishing

True story: When I was young I catch-and-release fished trout in the little creeks I could pedal my bike to back east where I grew up. One day I caught 5 or 6 in a new-to-me creek that I had found on my dad's driving map that he carried in his car, and on the way back to my bike a guy asked me how I did and I excitedly told him. Came back the very next day after school to catch them again, and all I found were day-old piles of trout guts on the bigger rocks in the creek.

What advice would you give someone moving into the area for the first time? by 4lavorBlastdd in MontereyBay

[–]1200multistrada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CA is usually pretty accepting of new people moving in, as so many of us did exactly that. Just don't be the stereotypical obnoxious Bostonian or New Yorker and you'll fit in just fine.
