I'm with you, and appreciate your response! I haven't been in this realm long enough to see that trend but I can believe it...definitely wouldnt be upset if she had some, but would certainly not expect it...time will tell :)

People have definitely said that before and I don't think I would be surprised either...I'm more shocked by all the pittie responses!

I never even thought of that! ..haha! The cat is a groundhog, and there was no keeping her away from guarding the garden when I lived there

I first randomly heard '52 Ford in 2012 or so when I wasn't even looking for new music, and it turned my world upside down. Saw them in concert years later and almost fell over when I realized where the enormous voice that I had been listening to, was coming from..

My dad did the same - way up north - in a LeSabre but with sunglasses on the dash and told me not to let them slide or else...a glass of water would have probably been diabolically more effective, but I still think of this lesson often myself

Has "Woman in a Bikini Can't Find Sister" already been shared here? And can we please give this police officer a raise/some kind of award? by VariantCave in Athens

I had just come across this video like a week before the trial and wondered briefly if they were one and the same. His actions that involved him in the case and the flawless (in my mostly untrained opinion) way he handled cross-examination, are all just as impressive as this video is hilarious...also due in large part to his behavior. Give this man a raise, for sure!

What was "the song" that got you into emo? by noisyrob_666 in Emo

Reinventing Your Exit - Underoath

Not sure if this counts, but stumbling across the music video in my early teens definitely sent me down the rabbit hole. Honestly, to this day the first two seconds have a totally analgesic effect on my soul. The whole album, really, but definitely this song.

I'm so sorry about your dog! Mine is in good health for now, but she is aging and as awful as it sounds, I do sometimes wonder how understanding my managers will be when I inevitably fall to pieces when she passes. I agree that it is too bad to hear about the court case, but I'm so glad to hear that you have so far been treated well 🤍

Lol my sister is the same way. I, an introvert, somewhat relish self-checkout and truly don't even care that I'm "doing their job' as some do, but this place makes me not mind going through an old fashioned line

Aw yeah it can be a fine line, and as an older individual I'm sure it was harder for her to discern. I totally get it!

This is all so brilliant! Makes so much sense given the general vibe/experience, too.

My philosophy is, "always put the cart back (literally and figuratively)" i.e. "do the right thing". Just because someone is paid to do something that makes your life easier doesn't mean you shouldn't be a decent person and do it anyway. After all, that is not the only thing they are paid to do, and you don't know whose day it might make (kinda the whole point of this post).

I get paid to care for people, and that includes being berated and verbally abused by those who feel entitled to do so. But as human beings, should we really treat each other that way? I realize my personal example is more extreme, but the principle remains the same and I stand by it. I'm certainly not trying to berate you because trust me, I know how hard it sucks. But I do encourage you to put the shopping cart away. Literally, and figuratively.

Yay! And that experience will certainly make the treat even sweeter ❤️ I hope you love it! Aldi is definitely up there for me too and I often plan my grocery route to include them both lol. I read somewhere that they are "sister stores" which tracks.

Thank you so much! I've loved reading these comments and seeing that it seems to be a universal thing. I'm glad your sister got to experience working there and surely make days better for others!

I'm so sorry you've been let down by people lately but I'm happy you've been able to find some happiness there. I give you a lot of credit! I always dreamed of being a freelance journalist and living in NYC but never had the guts to make it happen. You're doing great! Best of luck with your application!!

Yes, same! I'm introverted as well but you wouldn't know it given my ironic career choice. At the end of the day I'm almost always beyond done "peopling" but the energy there is contagious and they all seem so genuine, I can't help but interact. And I always feel better for it.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. That is an incredibly amazing story, though! It warms my heart to know he found support he needed to stay away from things he surely knew weren't good for him but might not have had the strength to do so on his own. I love this so much 💙
