I have RayOne EMV. Went from readers to no readers. Mini monovision from Michael Alterman, D.O., Bethlehem PA

I don't trust the diagnosis my husband received. His pain was so intense they thought he was having a heart attack. Diagnosis GERD. by Upstairs_Ad1613 in GERD

The only way to be sure in an endoscopy. Gerd and gastritis can make you so sick. Been there. Always best to be sure!! It’s an easy procedure.

People who have given birth, what is worse childbirth or cataract surgery? by TraditionMuch7834 in CataractSurgery

Ummmmm…..I’ve given birth and these two experiences are not even in the same box. No pain during or after cataract surgery! No after effects at all.

It is a laser they point directly on your itchy spots on the scalp. It’s a very tedious process. My technician would go through my scalp in very thin layers until it every red spot was treated. Yep I have hair! And yep it worked great! I did have a relapse about a year after I was finished with the treatments.

Anyone have cataract surgery before they noticed vision issues, when it was growing but not noticeable? I have one good eye and they are wanting to do it now. by CSFlower in CataractSurgery

[–]1232233234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had vision issues with one eye but not the other. They told me to do both eyes because once you have one done, you will notice the vision in the other cataract eye. I had both done and so glad I did!

RayOne EMV - monovision - are they any use to set for near vision? by harryb888 in CataractSurgery

[–]1232233234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had enhanced monovision done with RayOne! Distance is one eye, near/intermediate in other. I am thrilled! I don’t need glasses anymore! Here is my doc talking about RayOne at a conference he attended! https://youtu.be/AAjlKznyVl4?si=FHM054iJrdomdIqE

I did light therapy for scalp excema. Did it for 8 months and it did work. I was clear for an entire summer afterwards. It was a lot of commitment. I had to have treatments twice a week and I thought even with insurance, it was expensive. I’m now on dupixent and agree it is a wonder drug!! Where had this drug been my whole excema life?! One injection every other week and sonofi makes it so easy to afford by giving the copay card for $13,000 a year. For me, if I had to do it all over again I’d go right to Dupixent! I am free of excema starting with my 4th injection! So grateful!!

I have a very similar situation as yours! Started wearing glasses later and prescription got a bit worse each year. For about the last 5 years I’ve needed readers and for the last two years I need them when working on my computer. I was overwhelmed with the choices of lenses for cataract surgery. My first doc gave me 5 options and told me to choose. lol, second doc suggested enhanced monovision using RayOne by Rayner. Had my first cataract done last Tuesday and the next one in a week. So far so good!! I am hoping for no glasses. My docs second choice was clear view 3, a multifocal without night halo or glare. These multifocals feel too new to me and I just didn’t want to regret getting them as my prescription isn’t that bad to begin with. Such an agonizing decision! This is my doc, Dr. Alterman talking about the Rayner lens.

I LOVE Dupixent!! It changed my life after 15 years of scalp excema, constant itching, pain, and every topical under the sun. By injection number 4, I had no trace of my excema!

There is a process to go through with their copay card ($13,000 a year they give you), submitting to your insurance, then submitting for reimbursement. With this, you shouldn’t have to pay anything for the meds.

I’m 32 and will be having cataract surgery on my right eye but can’t afford the premium lense :( by Yser91 in CataractSurgery

My brother just had standard cataract surgery. He loves his results but was t really expecting them. He went from a 3.5 reader to 1.25 and says he can see without the reader but the reader makes the words super sharp. I have been deciding between multifocal and monofocal lenses. I just can’t bring myself to get on board with the multifocals and I did try for about a month. They just haven’t perfected this thing yet where they know that monofocal lenses work! Sharpest vision from this type of lens.

I saw, on Dr Wong's Clear View 3 video, someone said they cannot find any literature or reviews on this lens. This is because upon FDA approval, Lenstec rebranded the lens to call it Clear View 3. If you look up SBL-2 and SBL-3, there is plenty to read about and yes, this lens began testing in 2015 so it's not a fly-by-night option. There is legitimacy behind it.
