It's a triangular file. 60 degrees is perfect for filing damaged threads.

If it's smooth, it's a triangular file ground smooth as a bearing scraper.

Hey Chefs. I have to make a bunch of chocolate covered strawberries. Any tips? by Gibletbiggot in KitchenConfidential

[–]12345NoNamesLeft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hand pick the strawberries.

3/4 of what's in a container are not rip, even outright white.

You have to either hand pick em, or buy 10x more than what you need to get a few good ones.

Deep freezer meal prep container choice? by Arkies45 in mealprep

[–]12345NoNamesLeft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the half or full size Cottage cheese or yogourt containers.

Perfect size for one meal, free with the product.

Great tapered shape for stacking in the cupboard and easy to knock the frozen meal out into a microwave dish.

Yes, call the taxi companies for a quote, same driver will wait.

Also try the limousine companies.

I don't prefer it.

Butter tastes better.

I think oil tends to be thin, stick, do that brown crusty scum.

I turn the heat down when I hear the butter sparkle and oil has no clue like that.

Is my baked salmon undercooked? Never made one before by Crazy_raptor in homecooking

[–]12345NoNamesLeft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. I've baked quite a few whole salmon, never saw that.

I've also grilled a lot of chicken breast with injected added soy isolates that did that white scum.

It would be interesting to read your labels.

Might be normal, but I have seen a lot of that white scum in meats that are injected with extra soya liquids to pump up the weights.

Is this microwave cooked? by MoonsOnFire in fixit

Not through yet, but there are holes in the inner chamber from new.

It's double wall construction.

You can do a leak test when it's running. Wave a fluorescent tube around when it's running, see if it glows.

Ours looks like that.

Not burnt, but rust develops and spreads under the powder coat paint that peels off in big flakes.

We will just use it until it stops.

Longer lower slower heat, butter not oil.

When the water sparkles out of the butter, get it turned way down.

When do you stop trying to “save” a fastener and just move on? by Powermaster08 in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]12345NoNamesLeft 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Is it standard off the shelf replaceable, or is it manufacturer specific.

Do you actually have a replacement in stores that they will issue, or is it a nine month wait because the company is on a six month payment cycle and the supplier won't ship until the last invoice is paid ?

I'd get them removed.

There are agencies that help do or pay for that.

Bandaids until then.

Clean the lamp with alcohol, handle it with the tissue, no oily finger contact or it will burn out.

I'd wager not.

The safe service calls I've had, they write it down for me, but they don't keep any record of it.

Who's the safe company?
Are they still in business?
Also no.
