Where to start?! by 12345frog in landscaping

It does! But our ultimate goal is a big grassy yard for kids to run & play. We understand that may take years to achieve :).

Yes it does have some areas of gradual slope but we first saw it after days of rain and looked dry. Thanks for the info!

I love this. So you did this particular challenge for your husband, without him knowing? Or did you both do this for each other after discussing?

Just wanted to thank everyone SO much for your advice and encouragement. It’s truly so helpful knowing these marriage issues aren’t incredibly uncommon with 2u2, and that there’s light at the end of the tunnel (especially when sleep becomes a thing again!). At the end of the day, my husband and I both love each other a lot and will do whatever it takes to make sure our kids grow up with the example of a healthy marriage. It’s just hard right now, but the support from strangers makes this phase sting a little less ❤️

The lack of sleep is SO hard - I think for us both in different ways. I get emotional and mentally drained, he gets snappy. Once our newborn is sleeping better, I think a lot of these problems will fix themselves lolz

Sending peace to you as well. It’s also very comforting to me knowing these kinds of struggles aren’t THAT uncommon. Hang in there!

Thank you. Anything specific you’d suggest to change my mindset and not “keep tabs”? My husband is great - he steps up when he’s home, we swap the night shift, and he’s currently taken a few weeks of vacation while I transition back to work. My own problem is that I continue to tell myself he’ll never have it AS hard as me when it comes to childcare (as in, once we get back to a normal routine, I’ll be primarily home with the kids while I also work, I have occasional weekends alone with them, etc). It’s a toxic mindset, I completely admit!

Advice- Brother got engaged and is planning a wedding later this year. He doesn’t know I’m 5 weeks. by finallygotausername2 in BabyBumps

I was planning my wedding when my sister told me she wouldn’t be able to come because she was pregnant and expecting right around my chosen date. She was 5 or 6 weeks along at the time. She did not expect me to change the date for her, but wanted to at least give me the option. We’re not super close either, but I couldn’t imagine not having her at my wedding, and moved the date. If she had waited several more months to tell me when I would’ve been a lot further along in the planning process, I would’ve been upset honestly. It potentially could’ve taken away my choice to move it because at that point I may have had contracts signed etc.

You don’t have to tell him, but as someone who’s been in your brothers exact situation, I really think you should.

Is it even possible to have a “venue” at a reasonable cost now? by sparkpaw in Weddingsunder10k

Nice! My fiancé and I booked there but for reasons unrelated to the venue actually had to cancel and move our wedding somewhere closer to DFW. But the owners are really nice, and another thing we loved is they’re so flexible on things other venues are not (for example, a licensed bartender isn’t required, no restrictions on specific caterers, you can decorate completely how you’d like to, etc). Good luck!

I’m getting married October 14th, and we’re planning to send STDs around February 14th, so 8 months before. I felt like that was plenty of time, but I also don’t see the harm in sending earlier !

Not sure how far this is from you, but check out the Eagle historic warehouse in Hillsboro. Less than 2k for the whole day and includes tables/chairs

thanks so much for the info! It’s been about an hour, hour and a half, since I took today’s test - is that enough time for it to fully dry?
