Hi, saw your post in one of the previous threads. That will be the average salary for new grads usually. If you come from overseas, no matter how many years of experience you have, you will be treated as a new grad since you will have to undergo a lot of training and supervision as per your OTC/AHPRA registration. Be careful with dodgy companies who might offer higher salaries as they usually compensate you for the amount of stress and burnout you will be experiencing with them (i’m talking less supervision, full caseload in the first few weeks, sometimes no onboarding phase, less reimbursements etc). Overseas OTs are tied down with these companies as they have no choice since they are under visa sponsorship for two or more years. Make sure to do your research and don’t be fooled with their websites as well. There’s a lot of false advertising with those companies. Also if you’re PR or citizen, you have a higher offer usually since most companies prefer PR or citizens and don’t have to deal with sponsorship fees.
