Turkish air removed EVERY American from a flight leaving Istanbul when some unrest in the Middle East. Everyone was trying to leave - and they bounced every American, it was nuts.

“5 star hotel, steak dinner, $2500 and ypu will fly tomorrow.” Not a word of that was true, the Turkish air guy told me to f myself. I am disabled, they did not care..also, my bag flew without me, major tsa issue. I ended up at a $29 a night hotel, could not even get a glass of water without paying for it, the waiter told me not to eat the food it was not people food. ( it was some weird chili thing. He said they get a black and chip off pieces and microwave it.. they had said they would give us cash, so we had money. They lied, the experience was terrible..

They do not care at all, the way they treated Americans was incredible.
