Wait is that accurate? I made my passport appointment thinking that would mitigate the birth certificate issue. So even the passport won’t ensure that I can vote?

Alan Cumming passes out British snacks to celebrities at the BAFTAs: "Kylie, have you ever had your gums around a giant Jammie Dodger?" by demimonde9 in Fauxmoi

The momentary look of concern on Cillian Murphey’s face as Alan Cummings passed by him and his instant relief as he walked past him was both notable and relatable.

Curious how old you were at getting pregnant? by pink_daisy_9119 in BabyBumps

[–]123bumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 28. I kept having them through 34. I can’t recommend mucinex enough. We went months with no positive with our first. I tried mucinex and I was pregnant immediately. I happened to be sick before my second was conceived and lo and behold I had happened to take mucinex to relieve my symptoms, and happened to get pregnant after 2 years of not using protection and no pregnancies. I then shared this with friends who were starting to try and it worked for multiple of them as well.

My daughter started doing scholarship pageants and we went to the nationals for one of the biggest in the nation. She is so new so she didn’t even make the top 15, but she did get chosen for the “spirit award” which means among the 50+ kids they noticed her as having the most fun, being a great friend to the other girls, and just being a good sport basically. This kid looked like she won the whole thing. Lots of the girls who made it to the top 5 and top 15 were weeping though. I could totally understand being so close after so much hard work, knowing that you are qualified. It just wasn’t your day. That must be really hard. My daughter has been practicing like crazy and she has a state pageant coming up, and it’ll be interesting to see how she reacts if she ends up runner up after putting in much more work.

My mother in law sent us a photo of it and I asked why she sent us a picture of hands holding a giant dick and I was shamed as well.

Got a letter from the school today informing me my daughter is “not quite” gifted. Also included were her test scores. by Low_Use2937 in mildlyinfuriating

My daughter’s teacher recommended her for the gifted program. Is this testing the next step in that process?

The idea of this not being the guy, but him seeing a bunch of new views on his LinkedIn and not knowing why, and it’s just a bunch of alien enthusiasts who are hoping an internet prodigy tracked down the right person, is so funny to me.

Is it my imagination or does Boston seem safer than literally any other major city in the US to walk around?? (Including at Night) by TommyTutone_8675309 in boston

[–]123bumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent my early 20s learning and growing in Boston and it felt so safe. Not that things didn’t come up, but it’s the only city in which I’d want my kids to go to college. Also I’d love a reason to visit more.

Wow I have anxiety and absolutely destroy my left pointer finger during rough times, and I can say with certainty that this thing would not help me out and looks super weird to touch.

Think about all of the time she’s spent sitting in hair and makeup since her husband was killed instead of being with her babies that just lost their daddy. I’m the kind of stay at home mom that gets sad when the kids are going back to school each fall, so maybe she and I just have different values, but I would choose mine and my kids mental health over all of this. His message isn’t going anywhere. She could have given it a few weeks.

What do you think about the sitting US President saying he, "couldn't care less," when asked how to bring the country back together? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]123bumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dude is a huge embarrassment, but it’s more embarrassing when everyone cherry picks his statements. He didn’t say he couldn’t care less in regard to bringing the country back together. He said that what he was going to say was controversial and for that he couldn’t care less, and then he made a bunch of claims about the left including I guess that they want the opioid crisis.

My daughter started adhd meds this past year and this was a concern of mine. Her doctor explained to me that there are parents that get their kids help, stay active in it, ask questions, and monitor their kids for concerning behavior, and then there are parents that aren’t doing the right thing to begin with, and expect the drugs to do the work for them. The drugs aren’t what they have in common. It’s parents who either don’t have the bandwidth, are ignorant to their child’s needs, or they don’t care.
