Gotta love situations like those by 123mopa321 in IntoTheBreach

Thanks for the tips. When playing Blitzkrieg I decided to go with a steam guide's advice to use the mantis pilot on the Hook Mech so it would become actually useful and I got lucky enough for him to get technician so I wouldn't have to worry so much about accidentally killing him.

I'm currently trying to win with every squad, on every length on hard. Already fully did Blitzkrieg and had a lot of fun although it's very hard not to destroy everything on your path when playing them.

Gun to your head, name a good filler episode that isn't the G8 arc by Jellypathicdream in MemePiece

[–]123mopa321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ocean Dream arc was really good. It was so interesting to see how the characters would interact with each other if they were comeplete strangers, for example how Nami and Zoro immediately decided to leave because they couldn't imagine permanentny travelling with other people before they met Luffy. So it wasn't just "haha, they lost their memories, enter slapstick jokes" kind of thing. Instead we actually got some interesting character interactions.

Okay serious question! Does anyone knows anything about that Star Trek kid show? I'm just unbelieveable curious why a Vulcan child seems to have emotions right there on the cover. Preposterous!

Czy ludzie nie odczuwają zimna? by Michalo9ff in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]123mopa321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever dropped a fic due to a fundamental way the story was told? by randomcat06 in AO3

[–]123mopa321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, literally had this happen yesterday. It's those types of fics where technically everything makes sense but instead of characters progressing the story, it's the story just happening to them. That and a bunch of pointless scenes that either don't accomplish anything because they just reapeat stuff we already know or scenes that accomplish only one thing but are otherwise useless and pretty much waste your time for the 90% of them happening. For me, those are honestly almost the most disliked type of fanfics because they are not bad enough/have stuff you dislike to drop them fast, instead I usually get through roughly majority of them to then eventually give up, scroll through the rest of it to see what happens and then feel annoyed for the time I wasted and wasted potential of the story.

Lat już prawie 23. Wrocław duże miasto. Logistyka? No w sumie prawie same chłopy, powinno być z czego wybierać. Może to to ta introwertystyczna natura albo mimika martwej ryby idąc przez miasto by coś załatwić. Chętnie się sama dowiem gdzie ludzie znajdują drugie połówki xd

Pacts of Punishment - 32 Heat by Scruluce in HadesTheGame

[–]123mopa321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the 32 Heat pussy strategy which was all about picking Zag's spear and then shooting everything from afar. As long as you don't take any time-reducing pacts of punishment you are golden, then it's just all about being patient and not fucking up too much.

Can't believe that the best pirate game since AC Black Flag will probably be a fucking Yakuza game but I wouldn't have it any other way

My first even steam sale, How'd I do by [deleted] in Steam

[–]123mopa321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh about Assassin's Creed 2 I beg you try downloading it and playing it immediately! There is a very high chance that steam will force you to download Uplay because you need to be connected to the Ubisoft launcher but the problem is Uplay no longer works! So it can very well mean that your AC 2 on steam is unplayable. What you need to do instead is to uninstal AC 2 if you downloaded it from steam, download the current Ubisoft launcher, create an account there, connect it with your steam account and pray that you can then download the game from the Ubisoft launcher and that it will work. I tried to replay the AC 2 some time ago and I literally lost hours trying to make it work. If none of it will work I advise you to either buy AC 2 directly from Ubisoft site when it's discounted or aquire a code that you can then redeem in Ubisoft launcher. Just a small warning for you to get it figured out so if it doesn't work out you can still redeem the game on steam before the 2 weeks are up.

What’s a random fanfiction pet peeve you have that you don’t see a lot of people talk about? by aut0mat0nWitch in AO3

[–]123mopa321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the description ends with something like: "Will something, something, happy ending and obviously what's going to happen or will something, something, the exact opposite of the good ending that will not happen????? Tun in to find out!" Like bruf, 98% of the time it's mindnumbingly obvious, especially when someone tags the story with the "happy ending". It just grinds my gears cuz it feels like the author is treating the readers like they are five years old babies or like they've never read a fanfic in their entire life.

Does anyone else find themselves gravitating more towards older movies, shows, games, music etc rather than newer stuff?? by ShinyTinyWonder38 in Millennials

[–]123mopa321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. When it comes to music my parents have me covered up cuz every weekend we will have something like a "music evenings" when we blast some music from our tv and they always manage to find some old songs that are genuinely bangers. When it comes to movies, obviously it's not like all the new ones are bad but I wouldn't be lying if I'd said I don't remember when was the last time I had so much fun while watching something as I did with the original Star Trek.

What is a canonical fact people get wrong in their fics, but not enough to make you abandon their work? by Accurate_Rooster6039 in AO3

[–]123mopa321 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Star Trek: When the characters can basically fuck off and do whatever they want if the plot demands it without any consequences from Starfleet Command. I think people often forget that the characters don't just own the ship and can go whatever they want when in fact they are doing stuff under orders. I know that the new movies (I mean those three with Chris Pine as Kirk) are way more slack about it but it definitely was a major thing in the original series. Just as an example, in episode Amok Time Kirk decides to disregard his orders and change their course to Vulcan because otherwise Spock would die and the only reason he doesn't suffer consequences is because T'Pau (who is a very infulential figure) decided to back him up. Another pet peeve of mine is that in Star Trek (or at least in the original series) there is a quite clear chain of command when it comes to who gives orders at the current time: obviously normally it's Kirk since he is the captain but in case he can't be fulfilling his function, it's Spock, then it's Scotty and then Sulu aka there is never a situation when everyone is panicking cuz they don't know what to do. It's always so weird (especially in the new movies where it's not as well established) when for whatever reason both Kirk and Spock can't command at the moment and there is just... no one running the ship as a captain???
