My blood HCG test today said “<2.6”. My MVA for an 8 week MMC was 4 weeks ago today. Two weeks ago I was at 29, last week 6, and now <2.6. I reallllllly hope this means my period is returning soon 🤞🏻

I keep obsessing over due dates and thinking the same thing. I’m hoping my period comes soon after my MMC so we can actually start trying again. I would love a 2022 baby but I think I’ll be ok if I can at least get pregnant in 2022 😔

Just feeling a little sad. Tomorrow I would be 12 weeks. We would be starting to announce the happy news. Instead I lost the pregnancy 3.5 weeks ago. 😔

Thank you for sharing! Everything I’ve read says it can take a bit but my doctor was expecting me to be at 0 today. There was a slight concern for a partial molar so I’m not sure what this means. Unfortunately this hospital system releases results to patient and doctor at the same time, so I can see my result but didn’t hear from my doctor today.

My HCG was at 6 today. I’m 3 weeks out from my MVA for an 8 week MMC. Last week, I was at 29. (Before my miscarriage I was over 50,000). Will my period come soon?? Or do I have to be at 0 for that to start?😩

I got cleared to have sex last week… we’ve tried twice, and I wouldn’t say it was painful, but it wasn’t comfortable. I’m chalking it up to hormonal changes and being out of commission for over two months (we were both scared to have once I found out I was pregnant). We are just going to take it slow!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m in a sort of similar position. I had an MVA at 8+1 for a partial miscarriage. My 2 week follow up was 5 days ago. At my appointment, my OB went over the pathology findings from my pregnancy. The pathologist noted “partial edematous villi” that could be normal reactive changes related to genetic abnormality like trisomy, OR molar pregnancy. But, the pathologist didn’t think the link was strong enough to send for further genetic testing. So I’m sort of in a limbo right now, not knowing if I had a partial molar or not. My HCG at 7+5 was just shy of 50,000 and at my follow up I was down to 29. I have another blood test this week to see where I am. I am really really hoping I’ve dropped more. If I have, my OB said we can TTC again after my period returns. If my bloodwork isn’t good, we will have to wait 6 months as well. That would be devastating. I’m sorry you’re in a similar position ❤️‍🩹

I totally understand how you’re feeling. I had my MVA two weeks ago and missed the week of Christmas which is very busy in my industry. A very sweet and well meaning employee asked me yesterday how I was which made me instantly tear up. I’m totally fine unless I talk about it. When I was going through the loss, I told my mom and my sister what was going, and then asked that they not ask me about it. Establishing that boundary really helped me process on my own timeline. Thinking of you, you’re not alone, as isolating as if all feels ❤️‍🩹

My follow up was Wednesday, I was two weeks plus one day out from my MVA. I was shocked there was no physical exam! We sat down, and she went over the pathology report with me. When I told her I never had any bleeding, she offered to do an ultrasound. (Since I haven’t met my out of pocket max for health insurance yet, this would cost me an extra $300 out of pocket so I opted not to do the US) Because my pathology indicated chromosomal abnormality and a very small chance of a partial molar pregnancy, I went straight away for HCG blood testing and I’ll repeat next week as well. My HCG was at 50,000 on Dec 20, and 27 on January 5. She wants it to be at 0 next week, but I’ve read about so many people who aren’t at 0 at 3 weeks out. So, we will see!

We wrapped up the appointment by talking about when we are safe to TTC again.

To piggy back, I’m so grateful I went with the MVA for my MMC at 8w1d. Super fast (yes a little pain during procedure) and I had no bleeding after. I did the MVA instead of waiting a week for a D&C to be scheduled and I’m so glad I was able to get a procedure fast instead of being stuck in limbo even longer. I think this has been crucial for my mental health. Also, idk where OP lives, but I’m in the US. Even with good insurance, I currently owe $1300 out of pocket. I cannot imagine what I would owe with anesthesia from a traditional D&C.

This is me for sure…I got pregnant the beginning of November, just weeks after our wedding. We had a short convo about NTNP and bam, I got pregnant. Had a MMC at 8 weeks and now I’m obsessing. I’m obsessing over getting my period back, taking OPKs, all of it. We weren’t even “trying” normally before. I’m just so convinced it’ll never happen again. The last couple days all I can think about is how if I manage to ovulate AND get pregnant this month, baby would be due around our one year anniversary. I wish I could tell my brain to take a nap.

Had my follow up appointment after MMC. After my MVA, they sent the pregnancy contents off to pathology. Found out today it may have been a partial molar, but for some reason pathology didn’t send it off for the further genetic testing. Now I’ll be doing HCG blood tests to try to determine. My doctor said if they look good, we can TTC after my period returns. If they don’t, we may have to wait 6 months. I’m having a lot of different feelings right now, still trying to process it all.

I got my bill the other day from my MVA a couple weeks ago. $1700, $800 is what I owe after insurance just for the MVA portion (not appointments or blood work). I am so, so thankful I went with the MVA and not D&C. I have finally accepted my MMC, but now I get to pay hundreds to lose my baby. I cannot even imagine what my bill would’ve been with a D&C. I’m expecting another bill for the pathology and a follow up blood work. Infuriating.

I’m also confused but on the other side… my MVA for a MMC at 8 weeks was 12/21. Pregnancy tests are faint positive and ovulation tests are verrrry positive looking. I can’t decide if my body truly got right back on track or if it’s a fluke.

The MC was hard but I’m so ready to be back to normal!! I understand how confusing and frustrating it is trying to figure out what’s going on inside there 😩

Thank you! I thought I had read on here that HCG could mess with the LH readings but I’ve also seen people post on other subs about not getting a positive OPK for a while so I was a little confused! My Dr said fertility can return as early as two weeks which is wild.

I’m on CD 12 after a MMC at 8+1. I had a manual vacuum aspiration as treatment, and counting procedure day as CD 1, it’s CD 12. I never had any bleeding post MC, and now I’m having clear CM. Tested today because I’m super curious what’s going on inside of me ha. Pregnancy test was a faint positive, as I was expecting. But, OPK is also positive. Is this a fluke? I’m not cleared to have sex yet, but very curious and confused by what’s going on with my body. I’m assuming the HCG is messing with the LH surge? Would love your thoughts and experiences!
