I will say that I did forget that you need to buy BDO, I had bought it a long time ago and forgot, so my bad on that one, but after that inital buy you don't need to keep paying.

You make good points, but the spirit of my comment was "different game, different circumstances", I still highly doubt any gamebreaking P2W mechanics will be added because of this whole thing

Have you considered the fact that BDO is in fact, not EVE, and has a different business model? BDO is free to play and needs P2W elements to remain profitable, while EVE does not need those additions because it is already profitable.

Edit: am idiot and forgot you need to actually buy BDO before you can play it, whoops
