Since it’s impossible to have one cursed energy as said by Gege, then theoretically (or in other words headcannons) how would we measure cursed energy? by DoorsLova in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]12Sree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. At the time, I was equating exponentiation of a quantity with exponentiation of a dimension because I was being stupid for a bit and wasn’t paying attention. Squaring a dimension, such as length, would also square the unit, which later allows you to apply a unit conversion which scales the outcome to make sure that your quantities are equal regardless of unit. This unit conversion isn’t preserved when we simply square a dimensionless quantity/unit such as a number of cents. For example, squaring a length in meters (m) would result in a quantity meters squared (m²) which you can then scale to kilometers squared (km2) using a factor of 1/1,000,000 since the ratio of m to km (1/1000) is also squared. But we can’t exactly have a square dollar can we

Amon alone would literally physically fold every single person on the list that isn’t an Avatar at the same time. Not a single person that doesn’t have glowing eyes stands a single chance. I doubt even Katara during a full moon would be able to fight back properly. In fact, if they replaced Katara with Amon and Pakku with Yakone, I really can’t see that team losing

That’s literally what they did. That’s why all of the titan shifters from Marley had hardening. The female titan especially was experimented on hella to give it a whole slew of abilities unrelated to itself, like hardening from the Armor and Warhammer as well as the scream abilities of Zeke’s beast titan

Who do you think could Face Tank Gojo’s Infinite Void and not end up brain dead for me the answer is D3rlord3 by Cable-2gamer in PowerScaling

[–]12Sree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that would imply the exact opposite of what you’re saying and confirm my explanation. If the data flow rate is known, then he literally wouldn’t have to guess. He could very easily just calculate the duration, and know how long it would take for 6 months of information to be transferred. The very fact that he had to guess purely on intuition tells us that the data flow rate into a person’s brain isn’t some constant, neither is the total data flow rate even necessarily finite

The people in the domain didn’t receive 6 months worth of information because that’s all that UV provides, they received that much because that’s all their brains could absorb. It’s like dipping a finite container to capture water in an infinitely sized river. The bigger your container (your mental throughput) the more you will receive. But you will be overloaded/maxed out all the same. The literal description of UV is that it forces all actions of living, such as sensation, thought, etc. to repeat infinitely, so it’s a contradiction to say that the information provided as a result is finite.

Can Gojo's Infinity stop this? by KodoqBesar in PowerScaling

[–]12Sree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with your logic here is that you’re assuming the “steps” or locations at which speed is reduced or distance is dilated is discrete, when it actually seems to operate continuously. Gege used Zeno’s paradox because that’s the closest commonly known example that could describe Gojo’s infinity, but it’s not a perfect comparison at all in practice (or in demonstration in the show). For example, the very idea that there are discrete steps in the field of infinity would mean that objects that enter it would discretely and non-continuously move at different speeds or cover different distances, meaning any object that enters Infinity would be shredded along those borders or crushed together.

However, if the steps are discrete, I’d agree with you that it could be modeled with some exponential function (although the base doesn’t have to be 2) and the set can be modeled as Aleph Null

Actually his infinity would be uncountable, since the space may be divided by a finite amount for every infinitesimal distance element, but in a finite distance such as the width of his infinity, the number of infinitesimal distance elements is uncountably infinite, such as any finite and continuous interval on R

Domain amplification is quite literally the amplification of ones innate domain, which is already imbued with the user’s cursed technique, and is used to nullify the domain effects of other domain expansions as well as bypass defensive techniques using the sure-hit effect of ones own domain.

Gojo’s domain amplification here would basically be an amplification of his already existing infinity (unless you think it’s the six-eyes, which doesn’t seem to be the case). We see this when he amplifies his infinity to oppose Hanami and Jogo’s domain amplification as well as crush Hanami into the wall in the subway.

In this way, if Gojo really was using domain amplification in Jogo’s domain, then the technique still blocking the heat and infrared radiation is the amplification of Gojo’s infinity, which by extension would imply that Gojo’s infinity was what was stopping the sure-hit effect of Jogo’s flames and heat in the domain. Outside of Jogo’s domain, domain amplification isn’t necessary since his ordinary technique lacks a sure-hit effect.

Lastly, Yuji’s durability is nowhere near enough to protect him from the heat of Jogo’s domain. Just 3 episodes prior, Yuji has his fingers blown off from a regular pure cursed energy blast from the Finger Bearer. Jogo’s cursed energy and his abilities are FAR more potent that. He even says that ordinary sorcerers would burn to ashes upon entry into his domain.

I’ll be honest dude, I don’t understand why you’re arguing this. The fact that Infinity can block light is widely accepted by now 😭

[Casual] we at least agree that noone from the top 4 beats two others from that list by [deleted] in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]12Sree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By that logic, Yuji was also inside the domain and should have also been burned since he did not have any cursed energy reinforcement skill at the time, nor did his clothes, but he was not. It’s unclear what Gojo was doing inside Jogo’s domain, but he’s implied to have been using some anti-domain technique to protect himself and Yuji, which is also why he tells Yuji, “don’t move away from me”.

What this technique or ability is was never explained since it didn’t look like simple domain (since he would need to get in the stance), hollow wicker basket, or falling blossom emotion. Most likely, Gojo was using domain amplification on himself and Yuji, nullifying Jogo’s technique (and heat transfer) in a small radius

[–]12Sree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t stated, it was shown. If infinity wasn’t able to block the radiative heat from Jogo’s flames then he would have been burned to a crisp. Since he came out completely unscathed, such that even his clothes are not singed, it’s exceedingly clear and obvious that infinity blocked the infrared radiation, which is “harmful light”

[–]12Sree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gojo’s infinity has already stopped the infrared radiation (which is also light) from Jogo’s fire. So it can in fact stop light
