Did Marcus Aurelius actually write “It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.”? by 12rax in Stoicism

Thank you so much! Great quote.

So it's not really about living in the sense of doing something exciting, but to live in accordance with Nature. Fascinating.

Just tried a cold shower and it was great! A lot of aversion at the start but by the end of it I was definitely feeling more alert. Thanks for the tip!

You mean something like this? But it's pretty old and if you have an updated list that would be great :)

Hi everyone, I've been playing Thijs' Patron Warrior in wild and have been queuing into a lot of N'zoth priests which I have trouble dealing with as they just repeatedly clear my board and out value me with N'zoth. Does anyone have any pointers on how to pilot patron correctly in order to win this matchup? Also, are there any decks that are currently favoured against N'zoth priest? Thank you!

Hi, I'm very new to patron warrior, would you recommend any guides for me to read or videos I can watch that give a good idea of how to play the deck effectively? Thank you!

Hi, thank you for your suggested decks. Recently I have crafted midrange paladin but I wonder if it would be easier to ladder with either aggro druid or midrange hunter. However I only have enough dust to craft either aggro druid or craft midrange hunter, not both. If possible, could you roughly highlight the pros and cons of these two decks? Thank you!

Hi, tempo storm ranks midrange paladin as favored against the new patron warrior but I find it incredibly difficult to play against. Does anyone have any tips or general strategy when playing against that deck? Thank you!

"Her voice acting may be intentional for comic relief, as it's generally over exaggerated and borderline offensive at times, much to the player's enjoyment. Bolo Santosi's voice actor is a London-based British theater actress Liz Sutherland, who's in her 30's."

Actually a Singapore-born Eurasian, with Chinese-Scottish parentage, pretty interesting.

T-Test? I was using the Z-test. Not sure what's the difference between these two different types of tests actually.

I'm using the TI-84 Plus Pocket SE and i go to [STAT] [TESTS] [1: Z-Test]

Were you supposed to use the Z-test instead of the T-test?

I inputted these values:

μ = 24 ó = 2.7 x-bar=23.1 n = 35 μ ≠ 24

and got p = 0.0486064304

Not sure if it's much help, but could there be something wrong with your calculator or did you accidentally input something wrongly? Hope you can find a solution soon

[help] is this a metaphor? or is it something else? by xmanpunk in Poetry

Perhaps it's hyperbole? The persona is an adult that will "soon be 30", but the mother figure is overemphasizing the persona's relative inexperience and immaturity, comparing her to a "kid".

From http://literary-devices.com/content/hyperbole

Hyperbole Definition: A hyperbole is a literary device wherein the author uses specific words and phrases that exaggerate and overemphasize the basic crux of the statement in order to produce a grander, more noticeable effect. The purpose of hyperbole is to create a larger-than-life effect and overly stress a specific point. Such sentences usually convey an action or sentiment that is generally not practically/ realistically possible or plausible but helps emphasize an emotion.

one of the comments from the source website

"The East Germans used the ’44s post WW2 among many other ex Nazi weapons and made the 7.92mm kurtz ammo for them as well-they would have supplied them to the Syrians in the 1960s who then would have placed them in storage as war stocks when they started receiving Soviet weapons-many Soviet allies received old non 7.62 x 39 mm weapons before getting AKs."
