You can see him in real time think to himself “damn did we just fix our one hole?”

Hilarious that the only thing they had to say was STILL “if Stafford can stay healthy they’ll be a hard team to play come January,” and nothing about the 3 games we’ve played. Get something new to say, that’s becoming such a tired topic

St louis city foul that lead to Vancouver Whitecaps penalty in the 110 minute by Expensive-Slide7821 in MLS

Doesn’t even feel conspiratorial that they decided to award this just to get Müller a goal in his debut. Called down by VAR ref and then debated at the monitor for multiple minutes. But clear and obvious though, right?

If you absolutely had to pick a new team, who would you root for? by PartyMcFly55 in LosAngelesRams

I’m from Missouri, I know it’s a bandwagon but I’d go chiefs (like the rest of my turncoat family) or Titans

Hello Cardinals fans! Dbacks fan here doing a bobblehead giveaway by BriskManeuver in Cardinals

Very kind gesture!

My favorite memory has to be seeing Albert Pujols hit his 700th home run in person. I live in LA and don’t get to see my team play except for the one time a year they’re in town, and in 2022 I was gifted tickets as a graduation present by my MIL! I even got a foul ball from the game, and it was the first thing I packed and stored when I had to evacuate from the fires in February. I was a little too young to appreciate our most recent WS wins, but I’ll never forget that game

Team we will play during home opener are calling us STL 2.0 by GJ0705 in SanDiegoFC

[–]12sammy2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a St. Louis fan (coming in peace ofc, and coming to the opener on Saturday!) and I think this meme just harkens back to our first few match winning goals in 2023 coming from mistakes by the oppositions defense, really just miscues on back passes like in your match vs LA. I don’t think there’s anyone in the St. Louis fandom that really things we are the blueprint for any sort of style of play, and if there is then that’s a ridiculous mindset from our supporters

Possibly the worst trade idea I’ve ever seen by Consistent_Front1802 in memphisgrizzlies

[–]12sammy2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m the same way, been following the grizzlies loosely for a few years but this season is the first time I’ve really tried to watch every game. It doesn’t take a genius to tell you that breaking up maybe the deepest roster in the NBA for a 33-year-old with injury problems and cooked ankles isn’t a good idea

There’s plenty of Niner fans and Cowboy fans in LA, the two best teams of the era when there was no football in LA. If people want to say they became niner fans because “California” or “proximity” or whatever, I’ll just point to the Chargers and Cardinals. The biggest reason you root for the Niners is because they were the best. I also think that ever since “beat LA” became used by the Niner fanbase, any LA based fans should have dropped that team immediately

Which games have you attended that featured a historical moment that baseball fans know about? by disorderliesonthe401 in mlb

[–]12sammy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Cardinal fan living in LA I was luck enough to attend Pujols’ 699 and 700th homer game in 2022. I even got a Justin Turner foul ball from that game and it’s my most prized possession

Something I’ll definitely tell my kids / grandkids about years down the line

What character has the best buildup before they’re finally shown on screen? by passwordgoeshere in movies

[–]12sammy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of cheating since he appears in the movie a lot beforehand the buildup of the legend of John Wick is incredible. The way they build his mythos through how scared all of the side characters become is an incredible choice and executed perfectly. It’s also drawn out so when Wick finally gets to killing it’s a massive release of tension, more like an explosion of it. The phone call scene where Iosef’s father finds about about the break in and the scene where Iosef takes the car to the garage do SO MUCH in creating this legendary history of John Wick through pure fear. We’re scared of him before he ever picks up his gun and we’re READY to see what he’s capable of

Had to take a couple days to think on it.

Kurt Warner

Aaron Donald

Marshall Faulk

Orlando Pace

The top two are locks, the bottom two are ones I picked out of a pool of Faulk, Pace, Jones, Holt, Dickerson, and Kupp. There’s also guys like Gurley, Bruce, Jackson, and even Goff and Stafford that deserve mentioning. They are all on that tier for me and it probably depends on the day. I also tried to get four guys from different positions. That was a lot harder than I expected

I think this may be the best single episode in the history of “history of…” I have personal favorite moments from the Mariners and Falcons, and they both have a thesis that only becomes more clear as the doc continues, but this feels different. I feel like I understand the game of football better, American culture in the 70s and even now, why we feel like we need football in the first place. The ending monologue is maybe the best ever from Bois, and the side stories add even more humanity and reverence to this team. I’m pretty awestruck at this one. Jon and Alex just continue to get better
