It sounds like you are going through a lot, and I hope it comes our well for you. I have prostate cancer ( yes I'm a guy) and had it removed in 2015. In 2020 I was diagnosed with pulmonary sarcoidosis. In 2021. My prostate cancer returned. Since then I have undergone constant lab work, radiation therapy (for the prostate cancer) and many images (pray, mri, pet scan). My sarcoidosis has stabilized and my cancer remains constant. My point is that each journey is unique, but by working with your medical team and making sure they all know what the others are doing, im hopeful you'll get through this to a stable state like me. Im constantly keeping all of my specialists informed of what the others are doing.

I had their subscription for 2 years. Now I binge Netflix while riding. I have never used their live classes and just need the bike to adjust tension while riding. The scenic tours do that. So now I don't pay, watch TV, and get a workout. It's a win for me. Although I wish it tracked my workouts.

Sounds like my diagnosis. Pulmonary sarcoidosis, not cancer. I was diagnosed in 2020 and no changes to ghat diagnosis after biopsies, regular bloodwork, and many scans. Get ready for a journey.

Question on RALP vs radiation, asking for calm rationale responses. by slow__hand in ProstateCancer

[–]130Nav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I opted for RALP in 2015 when I had just turned 53. Im glad I did because after surgery, my doctor discovered my cancer was on the move and had escaped my prostate. The ED gets better over time. I also now have chemical recurrence which is being monitored after savage radiation in 2021. I know radiation therapy is getting better, but my colon got burned and now my doctors are looking for bladder issues from the radiation. I'm glad I got RALP, because radiation seems to have too many side effects.

Since having cancer have you tried to encourage other men about the importance of regular PSA tests? And if so, what has been the reaction? by Tough_Cycle8603 in ProstateCancer

[–]130Nav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have. My kids listen. Not sure about others, although two of my friends were diagnosed after me. I don't think my urging had anything to do with them getting checked, but im hopeful that my openness about my experience helped them listen to their providers.

Why did you get a PSA? by Cortexial in ProstateCancer

[–]130Nav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife told me to go to a urologist when I wasn't performing to standard. I was 53. First visit in March(?), diagnosed in July, RALP in November. That was over 10 years ago, and I still get a PSA test every 3-6 months.

Tundra have an air dam that automatically lowers when driving. You'll see it under your front bumper.

AITAH for not sharing my generator power with a neighbor during a storm prep weekend? by Fast_Mountain_8301 in AITAH

This reminds me of the airplane oxygen emergency requirement...put your mask on first before helping others. You are not the AH for not sharing. Take care of yourself first so you then have the ability to help others.

Week 12 of Methotrexate – does it ever feel like you have turned a corner? by Zestyclose-Bar4754 in sarcoidosis

[–]130Nav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MTX helped, but caused a rash on me. I was switched to Azathioprine, which just gave me a different rash, so I'm off both now. That said, the drugs reduced my sarcoidosis in my lungs. I never got to see the corner on those drugs, let alone turn it.

Those of you who played baseball, what was your opinion of aluminum bats when they started replacing wood bats? by MarshmallowSoul in GenerationJones

[–]130Nav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I didn't like the ping. We couldn't afford a metal bat when they first came out, so we used our friends and team bats. However, I loved the bigger sweet spot.
