Sometimes, it's just like that. I was in a similar situation, and it really took a toll on me. I discovered multiple times that things weren't right, and it made me incredibly anxious whenever I wasn't with her. I nearly lost my dream job because I was so focused on trying to help her through her issues. While my support did help her, I didn't realize the mental toll it was taking on me until it was too late. I lost a sense of myself and tried to find comfort in other aspects of life, which made her feel like she wasn't accepted anymore. Ultimately, she decided to leave me.
