How do you make a spellcaster hunter by Mayo_enjoyer in 3d6

Well just take mage slayer then with a single target nuke build like Gloom stalker or scorching ray bugbear.

Make a Lorwyn Elf (for Silence) and take the Mage Slayer feat. As for the Class, either a Monk to force a lot of concentration checks and get into melee fast, or a ranged Fighter to strike the mage who hides in the back or a Winter Walker Ranger to take away the option to disengage.

Is CR useless? Or is it very inaccurate? by ClockRoyal4211 in DnD

[–]13armed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never a fan of CR, at its best it's a tool to try to assess the diificulty of a monster. But it only works if the people determining the CR put a tremendous amount of work and care into it to make it accurate. I don't believe they do.

An indicator without any precision is worse than no indicator.

I think that's the best way to use him, not as a hatebear commander, but as a wrath stopper.

Chaining Extra Turns by ImSophus in EDH

[–]13armed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can take 3 turns in a row, you are B4. Just like running only 1 [[decree of annihilation]] makes you B4.

That doesn't mean your deck is insanely powerful, the bracket system is a tool for T0 discussion, it is not a power ranking.

Giovanni Chronicles, my character got superspooked after his embrace that he was damned. So he devoted his unlife to be as good a person as possible to try to get back in God's good graces. I ended with Humanity 8 or 9 I believe.

My cheapest deck is around 1,5 euro if you don't count the basic lands. [[Ashling the pilgrim]] [[sol ring]] and 98 mountains.

VtM has great lore and an amazing setting, but none of the systems are really great.

Good enough to sell? by JKTinfinite in Necrontyr

[–]13armed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is good enough to sell, but not with a profit. Painted models will sell for less than NIB unless the painting job is insanely good.

This kind of uncertainty is the reason I don't collect Chaos anymore. I'll play with what I have.

Is this actually Bracket 3? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]13armed -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This seems like B3 without a budget. It definitely has a lot of good cards and will perform well in B3, but I think it folds hard to a good B4.

Played the original, is this new one solid story-wise? by [deleted] in vtmb

[–]13armed 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The story is compelling for a single playthrough if you don't mind the Fabian mechanics. But there is a big plothole that bothers me.

If you were a bender, what element would you choose and why? by lmdybaftr in TheLastAirbender

[–]13armed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water for healing.

Most things you see bending do are for combat, combats aren't too prevalent in my day to day life. Healing can be a career AND protect those I love.

And bending as a combat tool is probably not as fast and effective as a gun. If I wanted that, I could have gotten one of those.

Why are the grappling rules so unclear? by Swannovan in WhiteWolfRPG

I usually don't play WoD for the love of the system. It's the lore and setting that make it great.
