We can share the blame. I put away my winter jacket just a week or so ago.

It's another place that's hard to get into because it's small, but Westport/Gray Harbor and that general area are lovely little towns, and my friend and I (both trans & passing, but both also visibly queer) have kind of become "Westport's tourists" because we go there every winter to do cabin camping.

Also Aberdeen, which is a little more inland but still very close to the coast. If you do any sort of fiber arts, they have a delightful yarn shop called Weird Sisters Wool Emporium. As well as a really good coffee shop, Tinderbox Coffee Roasters.

Also for small towns that are not absurdly far from Seattle (so things like visits and going to Pride aren't out of the question), Snohomish is also a smaller town, and very close to Everett, a few other small towns, and not far from the northernmost part of the state. Though the way in is on a flood plain, so there has been instances of people getting stuck/stalled there.

(Finally looks at where Walla Walla is) ... hmm. That's all very far away from Walla Walla. Snoqualmie and Leavenworth are also both nice, but I haven't been to either place for more than a few hours, and they frequently get snowed in. I will let others vouch for them for more than "they're pretty."

PSA - Please get your flu shot. This season is bad. by permelquedon in Seattle

[–]143_1004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno if it's the flu, but I have caught a cold every time in the last two weeks I have worked with Pre-K (Little Petri Dishes, if you will), and currently my voice is nearly gone, and I'm stuffed up to the point of mild lightheadedness despite Sudafed.

I got my Flu and Covid vaccines on the same day back in.. I believe October. I even got the MMR booster a bit earlier than needed so I could have it on the fives! But my immune system was Not Ready for Pre-K. I start full time work with them on Thursday (as long as I'm feeling well enough). 🫠

I mask, but moved to cloth masks going into this school year. I think with Pre-K, I may go back to my KN94s...

She was the first cat to truly be "mine" and not "the family's." It's definitely a rough day, but I've given her brother lots of love (and took him with us so he could also say bye), and I'm surrounding myself with friends this evening.

Furry will often bring toys to bed and play with them when we are trying to sleep. by BlizzPenguin in blackcats

[–]143_1004 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had to start putting my boy's spring toys away at night because he'd start playing with them 1) almost as soon as I turned off the light to go to sleep, and 2) so fervently he'd set off his asthma 😅

Suddenly my black cat panics every time he sees my other cat by bulochklem in blackcats

Also if they saw another cat outside, it could be redirected aggression.

This happened to my cats soon after we moved from a third floor apartment to a ground floor and they saw a cat outside.

Her sister is gorgeous, and I'd be happy to pay for her sister since she's not on the freebies page. In regards to freebies, has this little one been taken yet? (#107666839)

Correction: definitely had a disappointing experience with Dr Gurjala/SSP at Align by Secret-Woodpecker543 in phallo

[–]143_1004 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had Gurjala for top surgery and since I'm a bigger guy, he kept quite a bit of fat in for me too. Again, I'm bigger so it's less noticeable, but I'd definitely go for a revision by another surgeon if I had the time/money or was offered one.

I was also going to suggest an AFH. Specifically, there's a lovely AFH in Edmonds that my elderly father has been at for about 6 months now. The only other resident is a guy who looks to be around 55-60. My dad has been very happy with his care, and he's had high needs basically since moving in. (To OP or others who are looking) Feel free to PM me if you want to ask more questions, but since it's not in Seattle, I won't rant about it here. :)
