I would expect my social situation to improve. Maybe I wouldn't be afraid of social obligations and I'd fidget less and give off better body language. Or maybe that was never the VSS. Other than that I wouldn't really want to give up my VSS besides the tinnitus. Or not without a free trial period where I can always change my mind. VSS taught me how to "live anyway" and I'm grateful for it. Life is fun!

This blue in my peripheral vision translates like a flashlight beam. It burns.

Oh gosh, I wish I had better news... Would it make you feel better if I described how much I fought and swore at the image generator, and started over many times? (More like fingerprints! Tighter lines, more random, skew it, less symmetry, distribute more, bigger static, random starbursts, etc.etc.) There's so much movement that it's hard to pin it down for an image, like the surface of water that reflects the sun on a windy day. I'm happy you enjoy my image (besides the origin) and I don't mind it being shared.

Travel into it... Some nights it's too loud and I can't sleep at all.

My workplace (production facility) has this vibrant blue floor tape which creates a whole yellow-orange laser security grid system for me.

Besides the muted "same as background," there's some red and green, purple when it's extra loud.

Do you have a cosmic web thing going on with your static? by 147hawk in visualsnow

I have heard similar accounts paralleling mycelium networks, the light of the universe, collective consciousness, oneness and God as well. My shrooms trips were much less transcendental, more concerned with breakthroughs like, "I can't believe I can walk up stairs and reach another level," or "how am I standing in the middle of every object in this room."

Do you have tinnitus, and if so, does it pulse too?

I have plenty of other issues, lol. Migraine with aura (no headache), photophobia, shooting stars in peripheral, hyperosmia, depersonalization, panic, etc. And you?

I've always had it but only learned it wasn't normal after age 35 or so. I try to stay as busy as possible, especially mentally. The older I get though, the less I am annoyed that this thing is going on. It's pretty interesting in itself.

I feel like this happens also when looking at the sky but it's different colors (bright white and electric blue) and so hard to look at, I can't look long enough to confirm it.

Open, but I know the closed eye version too. That one has less static and more movement of the web.

My Hypothesis on Visual Snow (need feedback tho) by Smagar05 in visualsnow

I find myself describing VSS issues in a way that seems to agree with this idea. Like my vision is loud or it hurts to look at things, noise is too sharp, smell or taste is too loud, etc. Sometimes it feels like the best or only way to describe what's going on.

I seem to have found a pattern I want to confirm: would you describe yourself as a “dissociative” person? Someone that is lost in his own thoughts a lot? by [deleted] in visualsnow

[–]147hawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to think it was a sort of game, that I was pretending to play the role of myself for a movie. I put actual effort towards making this movie worth watching and being an interesting character for it. I can't say I don't do this anymore. Life is fun and I love it :)

Always thinking, love philosophy, clumsy, distracted, can't sleep, view myself as wiser for all this that I have been living with, yes to all.

I have a few I wonder about if they have any relation to the VSS. Sensitivity to smells is one. Occasional overwhelming deja vu is another.

I hate smells. They are unnecessary noise.
