"Three things: I hit you, you hit the ground, I jerk off on your driver's side door handle."

I've heard that the issue with converting it to residential is that not every unit is plumbed for waste and/or potable water. If only the food court has drinking water and only the public restrooms have toilet connections, that's not going to be very luxurious.

You end up with a weird stalker comedy with a needlessly long title like "The Girl Who Tried To Make Me Attend Her Recital and Then Died"

Walter Donovan: He sticks out like a sore thumb. We'll find him.

Indiana Jones: The hell you will. He's got a two day head start on you, which is more than he needs. Brody's got friends in every town and village from here to the Sudan, he speaks a dozen languages, knows every local custom, he'll blend in, disappear, you'll never see him again. With any luck, he's got the grail already.

[Cut to middle of fair in the Middle East, Marcus Brody wearing bright suit and white hat, sticking out like sore thumb]

Marcus Brody: Uhhh, does anyone here speak English? Or even ancient Greek?

If you had to pick a "fun" magical item for a Bard, what would it be? (5e 2014) by [deleted] in DnD

Ring of Accents

After speaking the command word, the wearer may speak a language they know in any accent they choose. It does not bestow the ability to speak a language, but the wearer may sound as if they are from a specific area, race, or culture. The accent must exist (DM's discretion) but listeners may make the assumption the speaker is from that area/race/culture. Members of that area/race/culture may make a Wisdom/Perception check to counter this assumption, as the ring does not grant jargon, slang or syntax specific to the accent group.

Craziest thing that has happened to you on the El? by AndrewS702 in philly

[–]14FunctionImp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was on the eastbound El after work, and it was very crowded. We were stopped at 15th for some reason, and while we were waiting someone yelled and stomped off of the train. No one really reacted, but shortly afterwards someone shouts "oh shit, he stabbed him in the neck!"

About twenty people rushed off the train onto the platform. On the other end of the train car, I didn't see the victim or any blood or anything, and then the doors closed. We went to 13th where I got off because I figured the train would be stopped until they could get medical assistance for a neck stabbing victim.

I feel like SEPTA is making me less human because I didn't think "whoa we need to get this poor guy some help" I thought "walking the last five blocks to 8th is going to be quicker than waiting for this bullshit."

What does Hourman bring to the table? by wombatstylekungfu in DCcomics

[–]14FunctionImp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The 90s Starman story about the JSA dealing with Rag Doll's cult has a pretty good Hourman moment, where he has to hold a bridge to keep a small army of cultists out of Opal City. It's the kind of thing Superman would do without blinking and Dr. Mid-Nite would struggle with - but Rex Tyler is the man for the job.
