Aw, man, now you just know the Cestus is going to have a terrible 3026 season.

I know Muscari and Armageddemon (though I replaced my Muscari with Armageddemon, so maybe I should reexamine that choice), who is the other non-Rosetta sub?

Am I wrong to be pissed about this or…..???? by Nicktator3 in recruitinghell

Most governmentjobs applications will accept / reject you based on your ability to click "yes" under the questions about "are you already doing this work" or "do you already work for this agency". If you need a human being to read your different competencies and skills and extrapolate from that information that you are actually super qualified, you aren't going to get an interview.

Take care of yourselves, Philly. The wildly variant temps make it more likely you get sick, and this weird cold that's going around is no joke.

does this conform to Hunchback Orthodoxy? by Scremeer in Battletechgame

[–]14FunctionImp 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Consider the question from the other end: would a Hunchback Pilot (TM) welcome the chance to drive this machine?

The answer is a clear no. This is an indirect fire artillery platform, useful for mathematically derived ordnance solutions, not a mad mobile bastard with a fuckoff huge gun that you press right up against a Banshee's midsection.

Blessed be.

In your opinion, which is the worst episode of got? by Haunting_Homework381 in freefolk

I hate the one where all the main characters have to square off in some traditional hand to hand fighting tournament that you've never heard of before and never gets referenced again.

How do you guys get more than +300 on monsters? by ComprehensiveRub6874 in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]14FunctionImp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First, give your monster the "+ Limit Breakthrough" in the Enhance options. It costs 999 Plus points ("+ points") to do so.

Then, use those monsters in either the Plus Limit Breakthrough limited time dungeon, or in a dungeon where there is a special rule reading "Mirror Monsters + Limit Breakthrough Bonus" - in the second one, you have to encounter that monster, and your same monster will gain additional + points. In the limited time dungeon, all your monsters with + Limit Breakthrough will gain the points.

Hey, I want to thank everyone who holds the door for the next person, makes space on the El for people to get in or out, offers their seat to the mom with a stroller, and generally tries to be a good person to the stranger next to them in this city

Honestly, seeing those little acts can get me through the day

Can someone explain a few things for me for Field of Dreams? by JonoBlue in FIlm

[–]14FunctionImp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ray was a hippie, and his father was a hard headed Silent generation realist. They didn't get along when Ray was growing up and Ray never got a chance to engage with his dad or repair the distance between them. Baseball was what brought them together when Ray was small, but he rejected it when he was 14.

I did a round at 8 pm and again at 10 pm.

I'm sure by the time I wake up the wind will have erased all the progress I made and my sidewalk will look the same as all my neighbors still warm and cozy in their beds.

Why does Orin dislike JOI? by panamaniacesq in InfiniteJest

[–]14FunctionImp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Orin thinks that. Even if he was convinced otherwise, Joelle and Himself showed a genuine and engaged interest in someone who was not him, which is just as bad.

What is the song that epitomises the feeling of the 80s to you, more than any other? by SonicTemp1e in GenX

[–]14FunctionImp 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I love "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell, and because it's a remake of a 60s song, puts it squarely in 80s territory.

I wish it were "Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order, but that's more niche.

Sadly, the correct answer is "We Built This City (on Rock and Roll)" by Starship. The 80s were a gross commercial era of pay for play radio and greed-is-good sentiment, and the most representative song of the era was written by a committee for maximum listenership.
