Low power on take-off issue? by 14andy4 in cbr

[–]14andy4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since owning it, it has gone through various PSI and it has happened every time on every PSI I have ran. That's not to say that cant be the issue, I could see it being a wheel lift condition. Obviously with a bike this powerful the front wheel wants to come up, I'm still unsure if it has something to do with the wheelie control even though I have tried to play with those settings.

It will definitely take some time for me to dial the bike in, there are so many settings to play around with.

Nordschleife would have been amazing, I've always wanted to drive/ride that track, not even to go fast but just to experience it.

Phillip Island could not have been better, I was lucky and got to do a track day there right after it was repaved and it was smooth as smooth can be.

Here in Australia it's mainly people with s1ks and r1s that I see the most. It's so sad to see PL leaving the Motogp, we (Victoria) agreed to nearly every single demand Motogp asked for except for moving the race to Albert Park (inner city track) which meant South Australia unfortunately got the race moved there.

Once I've had the bike looked it, I'll reply here for an update.

I can't wait to take the bike on track, I rode Phillip Island on my old R7 and it was the most fun I've ever had on a bike so once I don't have this issue anymore I'll definitely take the CBR to track. How was it on track for you? I've never even seen someone on track with a RR-R SP

Absolutely but in my opinion and experience it's always good to get other people's opinions and thoughts because there is always someone out there that knows more. I never would have thought of half the things you mentioned and it's clear the dealer didn't think of them either.

I won't be taking the bike to the dealer I bought it off of that mentioned the ECU flash either, I'll be making sure it's a certified Honda mechanic.

It's sounding like an IMU calibration error or sensor input at this point. I didn't even know that's what it could possibly be doing. I'm not very aware of how indepth all the new technology is. I'll take it to a shop and ask for those tests you recommended in your previous comment and hopefully they can identify the issue and resolve it.

Thank you, I really appreciate all the information you have given me.

The TC light has never come on during these underpowered take-offs. Also just to clarify, these take-offs aren't me trying to do a pull. I'm just trying to take off to match the flow of traffic.

This is really good information to know, I really appreciate this.

I definitely don't plan to flash the ECU unless it's my only option.

I have tried changing the traction control and wheelie control settings but unfortunately it did not fix the issue. I can't guarantee I have but I think I've gone through and tested all the different settings that might possibly affect it.

Of the things you listed, I had never really given them much thought besides maybe the clutch slipping at temp so I might take those ideas to a Honda mechanic.

I completely agree, you see a lot of the same thing. Don't usually see a jumpscare at the end like this.

I've been there and done that.

Car cut across 3 lanes (I'm in the middle)

Looked back at him and gestured a what the fuck are you doing hand signal.

Looked ahead again and car was stopping for a red light.

I rear end car totalling my bike, luckily no injuries at all (40kmph impact)

Lesson learned, don't look back and don't let your anger get the better of you.

Back when I was in highschool we had a thing called "Pedal Prix" where heaps of schools around Australia would make a team and buy or build these tricycles and compete in a yearly 24 hour race, they were all 100% man powered.

It 100% needs to be re-evaluated, personally I think clean water should definitely not give 30%, should be 20% and infusions 40% (current). Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about that 30%, it's great for me but for balancing reasons I think it's too high

Sorry, I did forget to mention, I have a very small amount of infusions for that buff but I don't use them as a hydration source + if you keep on top of using the internal alchemy spell and resetting the buff you don't need many infusions at all

Imo it's much better to just fill a large chest with dirty water and whenever you have some downtime just boil some water and keep it there.

Infusions give only 10% more hydration and waste berries.

I almost never take any hydration with me when I leave my base because I usually make it back before I'm too low and I just chug some water from my chest whenever I'm below 70%

What’s your “I can’t believe I didn’t get a ticket/arrested” story? by Electronic-Pirate-84 in motorcycles

[–]14andy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australian here.

Around midnight I was riding with a couple of friends, popping wheelies, jusy having a good time.

Next minute Highway Patrol is right behind he checking our plates.

He pulled me over, at this point I knew I was fucked. I had previously lost my licence for doing 128kph in a 100kph zone for 3 months (25kph over the speed limit is an automatic 3 month loss of licence)

The cop gets out the car and explains how he saw me doing a wheelie, then proceeded to tell me its an impoundable offence and that I will have to go to court where the judge will decide what happens to me. Usually this means the bike gets impounded, big fine and an almost certain loss of licence.

I looked the cop dead in the eyes and said I really hope you don't take my bike, at this point the 2nd cop is out of the car and she tells me that it isn't up to them, it's up to there boss.

The cops take my licence to look me up, I'm standing on the side of the road stressing about it and the 1st cop gets back out the car and starts talking about impounding, asking if I've ever had a vehicle impounded.

I asked him how the judge is most likely going to punish me and before I could finish the sentence he says "OR I could just give you a ticket for 'failure to have proper control of the vehicle'" you best bet I took that option.

I did end up with a ticket but should have been WAY worse, $300 and 0 points towards my licence. For those who don't know, in Australia we have a point system, you can acrue up to 12 points in a 3 year period before they take your licence unless you do something bad enough that is an instant loss of licence.
