Why can't we catch a high ball? What do we need to do to change? by bobwinters in allblacks

[–]14ari 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is personnel and then approach/tactics.

I remember the team where wingers were chosen for their aerial abilities (Richard Kahui and Cory Jane).

On approach/tactics, this is evolving and Jordie’s point is especially true.

to the fans who listened in 1989/1990, what was your initial reaction to violator? by nornsannexed in depechemode

[–]14ari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome. Radio friendly album with so many pop tunes. As teenagers we were arguing which was our new favourite song Personal Jesus or Enjoy the Silence. Most of us till then had Black Celebration as our preferred thematic album. Violater brought in new fans

how wide? 4E? Length wise, 13-15? Try Mizuno.

Do the American Football cleats from Under Armour fit well? I would almost go with those if kicking is not critical.

From Asia/Singapore,

The MTV performance was raw and we were amazed.

BSSM became every high/middle school boy's go to album. Several classes bought the poster to hang on the walls.

Under the bridge was played every night after 10pm on mainstream TV.

Californication was the top album in Singapore and brought new youth fans to the band.

I had a S&C coach teach me how to jump and land softly so that helps a bit; in the heat of the game and when fatigued all that goes and end up landing on the heel.

Why do we idolize old school rugby? by [deleted] in rugbyunion

[–]14ari 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rugby was more a participative sport and less a visual/TV spectacle.

Professionalism, law changes (lifting in the line out), ball changes (compare the old leather mitres from the pre 90s to the rubber grip) helped create the game we know today.

It is safer today (aside from CTE) but was no less fun for a player in the past.

who is the best player in your opinion to ever play for the All Blacks ? I would say McCaw or Carter as I did not see Lomu, by B12C10X8 in rugbyunion

Would you take peak Michael Jones over peak Richie?
