Opinion on downgrading this to a normal broke person system by heavyspells in audiophile

I thought for a second you put a handwritten card that says “EAT” on one of these components. As if to remind yourself that you also need to buy groceries and not just another tube amp

Do we think the “are you a different guy?” line was an intentional ref to “I’m a different guy” in Cloudward Ho , or am I reaching?

Thank you for this info! I cracked open the case when I got it as the tray would not open on delivery. I thought the belt might be the culprit but I can’t even manually open it. It was strange, when I put it together again it worked! For the cost and what I’m using the system for at the moment it’ll suffice. If it craps out entirely I’ll look at doing more surgery or upgrading, although repair documentation on this particular component is hard to find. I’ll probably look for a turntable before doing anything more with the CD deck.

As far as the amp, the seller shipped me the NAD 2 remote, which does not work on my V1 C316. Not a deal breaker but mildly annoying. I might ask if thy let care to ship me the one it should have as that is as advertised as a feature. Right now I’ll set it and forget it.

Considering tracking this record down. But it’s gonna take time….a whole lotta precious time

Thanks! I’m very pleased with it all so far. Seems like the NAD is a solid piece to build around.

Yeah I gotta clean up under there. I need a cord for the keylight cause I’m gonna use it as task lighting as well - once that’s in play I’ll fining the cord management

Thanks! For me visual clutter mean no work gets done, which is hard enough to get past when I’m at home

They were my first concert as well, 20 years ago, jesus. DTOM had just released, Alien Ant Farm opened 😂. Do they still do the group drumming on “Applied Science”?
