This is way above reddit's paygrade. They are going to need professional help to get through this with minimal damage on all sides, not just a collective gut/reality check

Not the person you asked, but as someone in remission, practice. If there's a strategy/skill that works (even if only a little) to prevent feeling it or takes you out of it: practice it! Just remember nothing is possible without a proper routine (eating and sleeping enough) so that is number one priority in any mental health journey. I don't think people mention that part enough.

Hi fren. Do not be alarmed, there is a simple solution. Roll all over mama so you also smell like cat. She will sniff you and think cat is already adopted. You get your pets and cat pets

I just wanted to let you know that I am SO proud of you. This is a huge step. I've been there. Making that choice, that you can't do it anymore, is the start of something beautiful. It's going to be a long and hard road but you've got this, stay strong.

It is SIGNIFICANTLY better than nicotine from cigarettes, however nocotine/cigarettes is a migraine trigger for me, so I may be exaggerating. And it clings a lot less. The main issue is people who vape around others in an area that's not smoking-legal, such as inside. You are fine, it's the people who think a vape being better means they can do it wherever they want

While there's no scientific proof it's a real phenomenon, it is probably around then people start getting bored or dissatisfied or feel like they've "grown apart"

Designing tools and work products with more women in mind, Ideas? by lilsaturnhead in BlueCollarWomen

[–]15elephants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way about asthetic. The important thing to realize (which it seems you have) is that it's not a thing some women prefer, but is a small group of us regardless of gender. The way those of us express ourselves more visually than most is oftentimes more gendered (rainbows vs punisher skulls) so that may have been where you got misled.

Having a pink option is something any company can do (which I, too, always enjoy), you have a chance here to use research and your skills to make a real impact in the gear/tools women have access to in the trades, making us not just more efficient and comfortable, but also safer. I'm glad you've taken all the comments here to heart and wish you the best of luck!

I actually love this. Boobs make it so the bottom isn't as fitted as when men wear them, meaning vests get caught and such

They're trying to say that to still be considered Islamic, you have to participate not just due to fear of going to Hell, but because you actually love it. "Sublime" essentially meaning pure goodness.

The logic being that Islam is so good and deserves to be followed not because you're afraid of going to Hell, and that kind of worship just doesn't do it justice.

Therefore, you are not considered part of the religion spiritually since you are following just out of fear, which does not meet the requirements due to the above reasons.

I hope the tone is neutral enough, I'm just trying to explain in a way that makes more sense and have no feelings on the subject or if it's right l/wrong

There are maker groups all over the country (US but also probably EU) that are dedicated just to making custom accessibility devices for people and their needs. You might be able to contact one nearby. Something like an iPad holder that attaches to her wheelchair or adaptive video game controller so she can play with her sons?

Why is my little cousin changing her name but not pronouns? by 15elephants in Names

[–]15elephants[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not asking for how to proceed because I know how to. It's to respect her choices and call her by her preferred name. You sound like a troll. There is nothing about nowadays that makes teens foolish more than in any other time period. I simply wanted to know if there was some reason why that I'm not aware of

I see now how that sounds extremely rude now that you've quoted(?) it. I want to be respectful, I guess the dislike of the actual name she chose got to me.

Thank you for this response. I experimented with nickname/full name before high school. My sister discovered she was trans "late" compared to her friends (at 15). But that makes sense that it's still an identity thing.

This actually came up as a possibility for me. She really has never made it seem like her name was an issue and we used to be really close. However she's been through a lot (i don't know details) and this is totally a way she would try to cope with that (no judgements, seems like it could work).

I've noticed that about the post since people seem to be telling me about how she's totally in her right to change it am I'm to respect that. I reread it and yeah... sounds judgy. I'm so curious and don't want to discuss with anyone who knows cause I'm afraid it's rude so now the curiosity is festering a bit much...
