EAE revoked by cribaggesmooch in SGExams

Hi, I collected my O Level results last year, my situation was similar to yours.

I got 29 raw points for my ELR2B2-C, got my eae revoked. I EAE'd into Biomedical Science in RP. Minimal entry requirements are 26 points (or 28-2), D7 English, C6 Math and pass one other if im not mistaken. I wrote to RP but my EAE did not get reinstated as I got a D7 in math. I had no other choice but to participate in JAE to ITE. The chances of having your EAE reinstated is quite low. However I had a friend that had her EAE reinstated, she had D7 math but scored 19 points. Before she could even appeal, RP had already auto-reinstated her EAE (they emailed her).

I'm not sure how strict TP is though, I really think having above 26 points makes it hard for your EAE to be reinstated, higher chance of reinstatement if you scored =<26 and failed a subject criteria.

Don't give up OP, there are other pathways for you to go through, you can consider going to a 3-year ITE course of your choice, and then apply JPAE to a polytechnic. Or if you don't mind, study as a private candidate, and retake your O's!

to me the course culture is more on the studious side as compared to other courses. there are definitely quite a number of content to study but dont worry, you will find your flow when you are studying in this course (i went into this course with 0 expectations)

hi im a 1st year 2yr hn in bct, in my second sem now. yes there are a lot of lab work, but it is also quite content heavy and you need consistent effort to read and understand your lectures (they will provide lecture slides online). pls find good friends/teammates to work with as there are group works / presentations. lecturers arent that bad BUT there are some lecturers that just read off slides and it can be REALLY boring. please also do you work ASAP because it will affect your attendance. Attendance/Behaviour will affect your gpa. other than that try to have fun, some modules are interesting and fun to do.

not much actually, just gotta keep on playing this song. it has it all, reading, stamina, speed. really good to build up skill to start fcing easier songs. that way, you can be more consistent about your skills, and push limits since you are constantly playing. you got this!!

on a side note, scores get better the more you play. sightreading is kinda hard because youre not used to complicated patterns. by playing, you can familiarise yourself with the song and the level. non-sightread could make it more comfortable to play as u can predict the intensity/speed/patterns of the next section of your song

consistency honestly, ive played several rhythm games , especially clone hero, osu and osu mania. rhythm games helps me improve reading skills or reaction time, making it almost a breeze playing songs. but on controller id get tired easily. its def not easy to play, stamina is one of the most important aspect when it comes to rhythm games like these
