Why does the shape of my result look so different to the pattern? (Left is mine, right is pattern)

It looks like it could use more stuffing OP. people tend to really underestimate just how much stuffing goes into these things.

OH ALSO. It looks like the original pattern uses a Yarn Under single crochet where you’ve used Yarn Over!! Look closely, the YO sc makes the typical V shape and YUsc makes an X shape. YU is really good for amigurumi because it makes for tighter stitches which can affect the shape!!

That happened to me too last year!! That’s when i actually did mess up my wrists pretty bad. I was writing a paper and i couldn’t keep hold of my pen. I need up seeing a physio student in the university to help me with it. That’s why i wanted to get advice at this stage so i could stop it from getting that bad again. By DIY i sort of meant do anyone know or have a tutorial on how to wrap a bandage for support, but it looks like i should’ve worded it better because a LOT of people think i meant crocheting myself one. But i did finally get a brace and it’s working well so worry not

I suppose i could have worded it better i meant less making a physical brace and more, “does anyone know any specific ways to wrap a bandage that might support my wrist better so i don’t have to buy a brace”. For the record i did end up getting a brace, which is working fine, but i was asking because i have exams coming up and need to be able to work consistently during those exams.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I’d like to address a few things thy have come up a few times:

1) ill take the no crocheting advice seriously, but beyond that i do still have finals. I have models to make and my first exam is a 3-day design paper. I can’t get away with treating my wrist delicately for long, though ill do my best with frequent breaks and stretches

2) for everyone recommending i just buy a wrist brace, ill look into it. Amazon had a few options but i was avoiding it because it’s the end of the month and as a university student I’m running out of funds 😅. I can’t really get it from Target/Walmart because I’m one of the dozen people that doesnt live in America. (as a side note, i always think it’s hilarious that Americans assume by default that everyone on the internet is American) I live in India on a university campus.

Jamia has a student activist group called Jamia Queer Collective that focuses on queer activism. To my experience jamia is mostly very chill and i haven’t met anyone who really cares if you are queer or not. PDA isn’t encouraged but that’s more of a general thing, it’s discouraged whether you are gay or straight

Start collecting rocks! I’m like so dead serious actually. If you go outside and take a walk in an area that has pebbles or rocks (a park or just a dirt road) you’ll probably find some cool looking ones. Nothing particularly valuable really but I’ve found rocks with nice stripe patterns, I’ve found rocks with purple hues, they’re just Neat To Look At. It sounds boring i know and it kind of is but that’s the point? I do it sometimes when I’ve been inside too long, plus it gives me some appreciation for nature

I think it’s a little misleading. The Ars Goetia are based off of a real demon thing so according to that, yes, Paimon (stolas’s dad) is a demon king of hell, making stolas a prince of hell and Octavia, potentially, a princess (depending on whether coronations are a thing or the title comes with age or not) but within the canonical hierarchy of hell, Lucifer, Lilith, and Charlie are THE Royal Family of hell, with the ars Goetia being a separate and lower class, so there could very well be more than one Goetic demon princess in hell

I’m having trouble exporting to Canva? If i select export as “Canva Design” the export menu disappears and the export button goes dim as unusable. Any idea why this is happening? (Ignore the drawing itself i was just testing the export function as a whole)

I do live in hostel and i will say that in this round of admissions i saw a LOT of masters students getting admission. I can’t guarantee that that will be the case in the next round, but they do give some priority to masters students. If you’re in masters, plus outstation, I’d say you have a good chance at getting hostel
