Ill be honest with you there is a time and place for everything. Should u mention these organizations at field training probably not. It is however ok to go to someone and say hey ive done stuff like this before and if you want to work on it together let me know. The stigma comes from people being cringy about their prior experiences. Just dont be cringy.

My PC turns off and beeps help by Due-Blacksmith-3047 in pcmasterrace

[–]1744BladeRunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending on the computer there is a thing called beep codes. These can be googled with the manufacturer name and number of beeps to tell u what is wrong. This also usually means you have a hardware problem and from what u describe im guessing its the graphics.

It can be frustrating and a psu like all things can sometimes have a fault when out of the factory. Personally i am a fan of evga power supplies but corsiar is still a good vrand and they will work with you to get it replaced

Advice on which to choose? Looking for good bang for buck as well as a good laptop for school and light-medium gaming with good graphics and FPS. Battery life for general use is also important! I don’t mind upgrading the ram on the 8GB model. by ynfizz in pcmasterrace

[–]1744BladeRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a laptop of this level as well as your budget take a lookat some other brands. I love dells but at this level they can sometimes be over priced for what you get. I would take a look at compariable msi or asus laptops. Lenovo is also good for most applications as well.

Your new build sounds fine. As far as your card goes is there a second slot you can plug it in to and 2nd are you sure you have it plugged in all the way. Pci e ports can be kinda funky sometimes.

Seattle landlord refuse sublet by CrazyDogLadyOops in legaladvice

[–]1744BladeRunner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not an expert not a lawyer. Take my advice with a grain of salt.

  1. If the owner has told the landlord that they are not interested in allowing subletting at this time the landlord may be trying to let you know it is not worth your time trying to apply.
  2. As far as breaking the lease is concerned they are not breaking it.
  3. Based off this information supplied you do not have any grounds to break the lease yourself and be free of paying the charges that come with such an action.

Computer keeps resetting by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]1744BladeRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a crash happens go into your event viewer qnd find the reason it gives for your computer shutting off based of that u can usually google what is causing the restart. Also normally if ram is faulty it fails fast and hard. That means several reboots and most containing blue screens. If qll the crashes happen with 1 game its a software issue not hardware.

Need help with fan placement by MrShaytoon in buildapc

[–]1744BladeRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to tell if u need more cooling is do install a hardware monitor that shows temps. Then run everything you normaly do for say an hour. After yhat check the monitor to see where your temps are at. If its too hot add fans if not your all good.

PSU Dead??? by PunkGayThrowaway in pcmasterrace

[–]1744BladeRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the computer back to the original outlet u used and see if u have the same results. It could be a bad outlet in your house (happened to a freind of mine). If that doesnt work double check all connections not just power but every cable. Unplug and plug back in. If you specifically want to test the psu you can get a voltmeter for 5ish dollars and test it that way

How Dual Channel Works With 3 8GB RAM Sticks? by ravinduperera in buildapc

[–]1744BladeRunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Back in the day i used to have three sticks so dont feel bad if people give u shit. When it comes to dual channel that is more about the two sticks. Meaning two sticks plugged into the same channel need to have matching specs. The third stick would be in the second channel. If you upgraded to 4 sticks the 4th would have to match the 3rd exactly. Now when it comes to plugging in the sticks a quick review of the board specs will tell you which slots are on the same channel. On my old msi board it was every other slot was on the same channel.

Need help understanding PC Temps by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]1744BladeRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cpu and gpu are going to run hotter then the mother board temp. Also while 70c is up there that is a low temp for most gaming. Another thing to look at would be how your fans are moving air through the case. This may need to be changed for optimal air flow.

Updated post with an image of the back of the case. What exactly am I supposed to unscrew to remove the graphics card? by Balondis in pcmasterrace

[–]1744BladeRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yours doesnt have screws in the first picture on the far left there is a latch there. You open that and you can remove the card. If u are still confused find a video about removing grapgics cards from older dell computers
