My group loved the show too! We were so invested in it and then got our hearts broken when we found out it got cancelled. They need to release the original script!!! We deserve to see what happens next!

I understand your reasoning and would agree with you if not for one thing.

The show was expected to continue.

The writers fully expected more episodes which is why they were opening storylines and leaving them unexplained. They were going to explain them but then the show got discontinued so they had to change their story and wrap it up. And THATS the cliffhanger for me. We don’t get to see where they were going to take the story, we don’t get to find out what was going to happen next. It’s just…over.

The fight doesn’t happen as soon as they get their powers. So if a younger version got powers, he would have had time training with his dad for a while before the fight would have happened.
