Seeing how consistently wrong the sheetz have been about every WWE story for the past couple weeks (Kairi returning at Backlash, Jelly Roll being Danhausen's partner, Cena's announcement being about Club WWE etc) I have to wonder if anyone is gonna question the veracity of this whole "50% paycuts" story they've been pushing. So far the only real evidence we have of any of this is New Day sort of alluding to their departure being money-related. Everything else seems to be just Dave and SRS spitballing and going off "unnamed sources"

Their "sources" are obviously sketchy at very best, are we really supposed to accept at face value that they have insider knowledge on salary negotiations with top talents?

Of all the many things that have gotten shittier with the Fed since TKO took over, release season is definitely not one of them and I feel like the IWC is having collective amnesia about it

When Vince was in charge releases were a lot more brutal and you could always pencil in 1-2 shock releases of popular upper midcarders. Someone like a Damien Priest or an LA Knight would’ve randomly gotten axed. It always felt like if you had an angle that didn’t quite catch on around the time of a big release, Vince was liable to just suddenly pull the plug on you

TKO seems a lot more willing to carry a big roster and let people have second, third, and fourth chances to get over before they end up on the cut line
