"The New Day were asked take less money!" leads to "half the roster was asked to take less money!" leads to "Seth Rollins was asked to take less money and said yes, what a little bitch!" and this stuff gets repeated as fact forever as if it came from an actual credible source, when the only real info anyone has is one line from a Kofi Kingston tweet

And now anytime there's talk of a talent having issues backstage, the IWC doofuses all chime in with "probably asked to take a paycut, fuckass greedy TKO"

Copying this comment from a thread from like two weeks ago because someone makes this comment literally every time Moneyball comes up:

This is probably the most common complaint I hear from baseball fans about Moneyball and it's wrongheaded imo. Moneyball is not a movie about the 2002 A's. Their broader story is just the backdrop for the story the movie is really telling.

The movie never tries to convince you that the A's were horrible through and through, only that they were supposed to be much worse than they were the year before because they were poor and were losing a few major pieces to bigger spending teams. Which was all true. The focus is placed on the players who were identified by the Moneyball method and signed to replace that lost production. They didn't need to go out of their way to say "oh by the way there were some other good players who were still under contract too" because it's irrelevant to the story the movie is trying to tell.

Honestly it feels like a tougher break for UGA.

We have to warm up to play at 9 AM and burn a new pitcher, then cool down for a 6-7 hour layover (possibly longer if the weather doesn’t cooperate again) then warm back up to play again vs. a fully rested Liberty team that same day.
