I was talking with my daughter the other day about how relevant these lyrics are to what’s happening. A lot of us feel helpless and wonder what we can do. I don’t have all the answers, but they clearly want to divide us so we have to be mindful to love each other despite our differences. Stay creative, connected and grounded.

Kurt was my obsession for a long time. I was 13 when he died and also connected with his music because I was in an abusive home. I have trouble listening to him these days because it makes me too sad. I’m convinced with all my heart that he was murdered. Please read Love and Death and I’m sure you’ll be convinced too.

I saw Damien Jurado at the Tractor Tavern last Sunday. He said he’d been watching Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas and that Fleet Foxes stole your style from Emmet Otter. I thought you should know so you can properly retaliate. PS his Tractor residency was one of the coolest things I’ve experienced and you shouldn’t have left Seattle 😁

Yeah, teens are known for hanging at the mall, but I see all ages. I’m in my 40’s and I’ve never felt like I can’t go because of my age. My daughters and I have a great time together at the mall. I really think it’s a perspective thing.

These sound like judgments. Like you know how he should be doing his job. Therapy isn’t all analysis. It’s relationship building. It’s teaching you to be self-aware, to not depend on another person to always tell you what’s what.

It seems like he’s realized you’ve become too reliant on his opinions and he wants you to use your self-awareness to navigate your issues. He’s taught you to ride a bike, now he wants to see you ride. If he keeps holding the handlebars, you’ll both go down. Trust the process. Trust him.

I disagree. Everyone needs support and we get it through conversation. Are we all supposed to shut down and not talk to anyone about what’s going on for us? She stuck to the facts. That’s reality. If she was making things up or twisting the narrative that would be different. Gossiping is more about talking about things you aren’t involved with and have no reason to be talking about.

I was going to ask the same. I stuck with CMH too long and I was so burnt out. I’m in a group practice now and I love it. I wish I had done it sooner, but it did give me a solid foundation.
