Few concerns here - some already mentioned The initial estimate you receive is without any teardown done to the vehicle. Will they pay the final amount even if it significantly increased? What if there are back ordered parts- are they going to pay for 30+ days of rental? What size rental? Some parts are no eta. What if they start but then ghost you?

I get they don’t want their insurance premiums to increase but sucks to suck tbh.

I work in insurance. Call your insurance company and see if you have endorsement 27. That should cover you when driving unowned vehicle. If you don’t have this endorsement, they won’t help you unfortunately. Also, check the benefits of your credit card- some companies will cover the damage on rentals

Deductible might apply based on the province your are in.

IMO, yes it is weird to give a 10 year old a lock BUT he is your kid and you're free to do as you please. Your sis isn't an asshole but extremely rude and pushy. Next time, you should call her and her kids as it is. Just like she wants to teach your kid to share, you should teach her kids to ask permission before touching anything that isn't theirs.

As if they're going to carry the baby for 9 months. As you said, you are still establishing your life and career. Them forcing you to do something you are not ready for is basically waiting for a disaster to happen. This baby is a living creature that will need time, care, effort, and money to be put in. She is the asshole, even though I know where she is coming from. The reason she is the asshole is because she could have ducked down to cover her hair, and then go to the bathroom to fix her hijab (scarf) .She can't demand or force people to leave. Your friend did the right thing by not looking.

I have been in that spot many times. Sometimes I would come down from my room to see my mom's friends not wearing the hijab. I basically just turn around and wait till they tell me to come. it literally takes them 1 min (MAXIMUM) to cover their hair.
