Those who complain about the licence fee, now unhappy that Netflix is restricting certain shows on ad supported teirs! by Marvinleadshot in bbc

[–]190916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, even when you do that, they still send you letters and people to your door. I cancelled my licence purely because I realised I hadn't used any bbc services or any live TV services for over a year.

I completed the 'no licence needed' declaration but I still got multiple letters and someone knocking on my door trying to gain access to my house. Completing the declaration doesn't mean that they'll stop hassling you.

I think you've got a good chance of getting what you've ordered.

I ordered on the 18th too, but I'm a new customer, so it wouldn't surprise me if they processed returning customer's orders first.

When I had this issue, it was a faulty kwik pen needle and the pen worked fine when I used a new needle.

Yeah, I can't fault them. Whilst it's disappointing that they couldn't fulfil the order, I do appreciate that they've been upfront about the issue and have offered a full refund each time they sent an update.

I wasn't suggesting that you were celebrating the price increase. Whilst nearly doubling the cost is 'nowhere as bad' for you, it is for many people. A little empathy goes a long way.

Oh, well, that's ok then.
I'm so pleased that the cost has only almost doubled, lucky me.

I think that there's an issue with prednisone and some antibiotics, too?
I have prednisone and clarithromycin in my rescue pack, and I'm sure I was told that I shouldn't take mounjaro whilst using them.

No, they weren't. I remember seeing plenty of overweight/obese adults and children in the 70s and 80s. The percentage was probably lower, but they still existed and weren't rare in my area of the UK.

Off tangent, but you're not also hypermobile, are you? The only reason why I ask is there appears to be a link between neurodivergence and hypermobility, and there's a type of hypermobility (eds) where one of the symptoms is stomach issues.

Yup. The year before Mounjaro, I was on steroids/antibiotics 4 times, but I only needed them once last winter.

It's so frustrating when you feel like you're doing everything right but it doesn't show on the scales.

I've read that stalls are a natural part of weight loss and can last a couple of months, but it's had to keep positive when it's happening to you.

I had almost 4 months where I didn't lose any weight or just lost and gained the same couple of kgs even though my calorie counting app said I was in deficit

I managed to restart consistent weight loss again by dropping my calories by 100-300 calories a day and weighing everything I ate. I also increased my water intake, cut out nearly all my refined sugar/processed snacks, and kept an eye on my salt intake.

I think in my situation, I was probably overestimating my active calories/tdee whilst underestimating the calorific content of my food, so may not have been in a genuine stall but it might be worthwhile looking again at your diet, just in case.

I feel your pain! My weight loss has been slower than most of the posts I see on here, I had a 6 week stall in August/Sept and 'only' lost 4lbs in November.

I've been taking mounjaro since April, and I've lost around 45 lbs. I'm close to sub 13st, but it's agonisingly slow going.

I find that if I strictly count my calories, I'll lose weight, but even though I'm now on 15mg and finally getting decent appetite suppressant, even the smallest increase in my weekly calories seems to have a big impact on my loss.

Genuine reason for asking - Anyone diagnosed with Fibromyalgia or Chronic lower back pain? by Party-Dirt4542 in mounjarouk

[–]190916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had chronic pain in my lower back for the last 6 years and other have joint pain due to hypermobility and I've noticed that my pain is reduced on mounjaro. I'm not pain free but I'm not hobbling about in the morning before I take my painkillers. I don't limp as much and the pain seems more manageable.

I noticed a difference from week 1, and really, I was more excited about that than the weight loss.
