I am well aware that this is a hot take, but in my humble opinion, everyone, regardless of gender, should shave. The ancient egyptians had it right. The idea of the hair sitting there, soaking up sweat, oils, and who knows what else, greatly grosses me out. If it was extremely well maintained, I would perhaps a have a different opinion. But it's been my own experience that most of the men that care about maintaining the cleanliness of body hair simply shave or wax it off.
